NEVER GO HERE. I had to give 1 star to write a comment but they don't even deserve this. Paid 15.00 for myself and partner to have lunch. The place look lovely. When we were shown are tables we went up for food. Most of the trays at the buffet were empty, fishcakes were cut onto bite size pieces and over cooked. Sat down with prawns to start with and when I took a bite of the prawn juice came out, it was cold and tasted terrible. My parnter had thin strips of dry lemon chicken which u had to chew and chew. I had been in the place for 9 mins i spoke to the manager and said that I weren't happy and that we would like a refund. He shouted and said nothing I cant do about the food go if your not happy. I ask for my money back he said he will have to check the cameras to see how long I had been there and how much food I ate. I said okay that's fine he replied with I can't to it at the moment and when I do it will take 45 mins despite me having the bill in my hand and both me and my partner just had the 1 bite. He then said we had to leave or he will Call the police I said I will when you checked the Cameras and gave my money back. He refused phone the police and the officer advised Me Over The Phone That There is always trouble with the place and to report them to trading stardards as it was xmas period they weren't open so I didn't do it. The officer said it's a civil matter and nothing they could do so we just left and nines took a profit of 15.00 and we hadn't had anything to eat from there.
The customer service is terrible they can't speak very clear English as it was very hard to understand what they were saying to me they were talking in a different language so I didn't know what they were saying to each other.
They robbed me basically so I had a mcdonalds instead ha much better than this place by far....

Just phoned the restaurant as I’ve undergone a gastric sleeve so can barely eat anything. Totally understand adult and child pricing is different as an adult would eat more however I refuse to pay £25 and end up eating 3 mouthfuls of food.
I explained the situation and asked the lady if I would be able to pay for a child’s plate as I’d barely be able to finish one let alone go up for more and she told me this wasn’t an option. She then proceeded to imply that I was trying to scam them by paying for less and eating more. I said to her I was happy to bring a piece of paper signed by my surgeon for piece of mind to which she replied “if you can’t eat much then you will have to come in and eat nothing at all, only pay for the one adult who’s coming with you”. Seeing as I made it very clear at the beginning of the call the enquiry was regarding a birthday reservation I think this is totally laughable. It’s unfortunate that some places just cannot let go of that extra bit of money for food that’s going to be thrown straight in the bin anyway.
I did make it obvious that this was really disappointing and she couldn’t have cared less if she tried. Only one thing they could’ve taken from this was to be more accommodating to customers with medical conditions instead of robbing people blind!!
I accept that is their policy but the way she spoke to me was disgraceful especially telling me that if I can’t manage an adult plate then to not order anything at all is crazy!! As if I’d sit there and watch Liv eat all by herself for her birthday???!!
Never been to Nines before and will definitely be staying that way after...

Cashier went out of way to point out pleasantly that at 9:30 cook to order food would no longer be available which was fine. Went down into restaurant which was 10 per cent full. Was moved towards a seat in the area where all diners had been coralled together. I was in town on business & wanted quiet table to read book. Was offered another table next to an area where all cutlery was deposited & removed even though there were acres of tables.
You pay for drinks separately at a long bar. I went to the till to order and the staff member processed the transaction & went to the far end of the bar to pour the lager & then shouted at me to come & collect it, she onviously couldn't summon up the energy to return to the customer who had just paid over the odds for a mediocre pint of order.
This kind of summed up character of staff. They eere the to oil the machine & the customers were obstacles in the achievement of this role.
As for the food, I can honestly say it was vsried. The biffet managed to provide a wide range of overcooked but barely lukewarm dishes. The only thing palatable & up to a reasonable temperature was a Chinese chicken & pineapple dish. There were 4 rice options all of which were burned, robbed of any moisture & inedible.
I thought £14.50 without drinks was a bargain for the variety of food but sadly I was massively deceived.
It might have been a different experience had I visited at 6 pm but I do not think 8:50 was a particularly late time slot for an evening meal. No return visit from me. A dining endurance rather...
