Called in there last Sunday around 1pm to play pool with my 10 year old daughter, her mother is not really happy of the idea of taking her to a pub to play pool but once I told her that Copper is much more of a café bar at what the atmosphere at the time was like, she was happy.
The staff were really helpful and friendly and told us the pool table is down stairs and is only 50p per play.
I know this is far cheaper than over in TenPin at £1.50, given how it's usually so loud in there you have to shout over the table, changing to Copper for pool makes a lot of sense.
They also have a Ping pong table, oversized Jenga type game and a football table, these are all free to use and near the small bar there is an old school Pacman arcade table, 50p per play.
Most of the time we were there we were totally alone, a few others joined but we barely noticed them as they were quite quiet and using the Ping pong table.
Knowing how quite it and friendly a place it is I will take her there much more regular than when used to...
Read moreFirst and last time visiting this venue. Went here for a charity event on Friday, the event and atmosphere were great but can't say the same about the staff. A few of our party members were made to feel uncomfortable on this occasion. I dislike leaving bad reviews but it was just unnecessary, having personally worked in hospitality I know how it can get but there is a way to treat customers. The other member of staff at the bar however was great, can't say a bad word about them. The drinks were reasonably priced, not cheap but not...

Here is our feedback for improvements:
Coffee should be served from a proper Italian espresso machine, not from an electric fully automated high turnover coffee brewing machine. Coffee did not taste nice, no character, just coffee. I expected experience and enjoyment from tasting coffee, it is not just another drink.
I know it is called a bar, but this place used to serve creative and delicious fresh cakes. You lost this quirky little offer and mismatch of expectations with the customers. It is a shame. It does not take much and cakes would be gone especially around the weekends.
I truly hope you can take this feedback to make this place shine again and attract us to revisit you in a few months and would be happy to revisit the review and rating of this rating. I wish...
