Pie Hero. Honestly loved this place. I was trying to find a place to eat at in Cardiff that didn't seem imposing to approach. I tried McDonalds and Taco Bell first but they had touch screens to over from which is fine but when the screen is directly vertical it's impossible for me to interface with it due to shoulder issues. I ended up walking out and seeing this place across the road, now I love pies, so I know a good pie when I taste one. Employee was really nice and welcoming, food was delivered fast and it wasn't an overwhelming volume of food, my stomach is tiny and can''t take much. Also the presentation was awesome! Let the food photos speak for themselves honestly and you decide. The one thing to note is the order list is limited, but I usually like this as its a specialty and is usually done better than places with larger menus. The downstairs area was like a secret grotto when I went to use the restrooms, the whole place is very stylish. Expect to spent anywhere from £15 + here.

Took my mom to try a pie and mash for the first time (even though she ended up getting fries) and had a wonderful experience! The service from Bron was fantastic and she answered all questions we had (and had great menu recommendations). Our food came out quickly and it was nice and hot (perfect for a rainy day) so shoutout to Martin in the kitchen as well. I opted for the vegan chicken/bacon pie mother earth me and my mom had the fungi chicken gravy meal. Both were delicious and the portions were so large we couldn’t finish. Too bad because it was really tasty - especially the gravy. I definitely will be back! Oh, and be sure to download the app for rewards/accumulating points!

Nice little cafe/restaurant but unfortunately ran out of gluten free pastry so couldn't have one of there home made pies!!!! Manager did apologise and told us their gluten free pie's have gone down a storm and thats why they ran out so hence my low score!!! We are booked in for tomorrow when I've been assured they should have another delivery of there delicious puff pastry...so we went back the following day....man those pie's were worth waiting 24hrs for....full to the brim with filling!! GF chips and GF peroni and the manager gave me 20% of the bill for the inconvenience! Love this place...its a must if your visiting the great city of Cardiff.

At the end of our last full day in Cardiff, we decided to have dinner at Pieminister. Big mistake, we should have checked it our on our first night and then maybe had a couple of lunches as WELL as our final dinner.

I had the Moo & Blu pie, the granddaughter had "just" the Moo, and Grandma had "the Heidi", sweet-potatoe, spinach & goat cheese (I'm sure many other ingredients) and we ALL loved our dishes (& each others'). Service was prompt, friendly and NOT disruptive -- I hate when you're bothered every 5 minutes. We were well attended and had a wonderful time.

They offer a drink special, I'm not a heavy drinker, but I should've taken advantage of it as I ended up ordering a second drink. I figure it was worth a GBP 1.00 to have the drink served up cold with unmelted ice rather than ordering 2 and having the 2nd one melt while I drank the first one.

Waitstaff was friendly, efficient and effective. The atmosphere was fun, surprisingly quiet for the number of people. We had a great meal as well as a great time.

I'm not a desert kinda guy, unless it's Banana's Foster but we went for the Pecan Pie Sunday and it was VERY good -- I'd do it again unless the Toffee was...

If you're looking for something a bit different then this place is great. You might think eating out in a pie place sounds a bit "heavy" but the pies are actually quite small. All of the food is quite small. Prices for food are reasonable though and the quality is really nice although drinks prices are about average for a restaurant . Service is excellent. We had a friend with us that turned up late and was a little flustered and I felt they came across as a little rude to the staff but they still went out of their way for her and were great (I did call her out on it btw). They have a decent range, from fancy stuff I wouldn't personally go for, to your normal steak and kidney etc. There's veggie and gluten free stuff too. They were out of rosemary fries on the day I went which was devastating but forgivable I guess. The atmosphere was nice, there was a large rowdy group but they were put out of the way downstairs. Toilets were great. All separate standalone gender non specific toilets instead of male and female communal bodily function spaces....

Not great. The restaurant was fairly busy when we got there but there but the lady who served us didn't give us any warning that we'd still be hungry 45 minutes later. When we ordered, they'd run out of a few things we wanted, and from the moment our order went in we felt forgotten. After 15 minutes we had to chase up our drinks only to be told that the till had broken and our order hadn't gone through at all. We sorted that out and quite a while later we got our food, which wasn't bad if not that warm. Then we asked for our bill, which we got, and then we were ignored again and 10-15 minutes later we were still sitting there waiting to pay. Coats on, stood up, we eventually asked a member of the kitchen staff if we could pay and then our server came to us with a new bill seemingly with genuine surprise that we were still there. Shame we didn't have the guts to complain at the time really, although it was pretty obvious that we weren't happy. A big shame as we're generally peetty pleased after a trip here, and we'd hope that...
