Spice n Flavour — Restaurant in Wales

I picked up food from Spice n Flavour - I was very disappointed with the the portion size of the Paneer Shaslick - they charged me the same as a chicken Shaslick and it only had 6 small cubes of paneer - significantly smaller than other local restaurants.

Their online ordering system didn’t work (I didn’t receive a confirmation email - I checked my spam and junk boxes frequently. I also called the restaurant numerous times to find out what was happening with my order and sent a text - when they finally got back to me it was to inform me that the food was ready - which meant that by the time I got to them the food was being kept warm - and had been for quite some time. It needed to be heated up again when I got it home. When I picked up the order I even had to let them know I hadn’t paid online - If I wasn’t an honest person I could have walked out with free food!

They said they’d added an extra mint chutney for the inconvenience/mix up - but I ordered and paid for one and typically the Shaslick comes with (usually) salad and mint sauce. There was no salad.

The dhal and bahjis (mushroom and bhindi) were also small in size and the mushroom one in particular was very oily. Finally, because the food had been waiting for pick up for so long the raita had separated, was warm and looked truly unedifying.

All in all a big disappointment I was looking forward to trying out Spice n Flavour but had a particularly bad and disappointing experience. Truly...

Not going to lie my regular is usually star of Wales bit my son ate from here 3 times in one week as he that impressed he knows his curries vindaloos madras etc me im a mild curry girl don't do hot or spicy so decided to try it with him see what fuss about. Delivery was pretty quick.food was very hot still amazing ..he doubles up lids which is great for keeping hot and non spilling..im funny with chips especially from an Indian cuisine but better chips than star of Wales great and hot ! Rice was amazing also and hot .nan bread was pretty good not as greasy as I like it but also yes you guessed it hot .Nice poppadoms for me I had lamb curry never had potatoes or tomatoes in my lamb curry before ? Luckily I love potatoes and tomatoes so I don't think it spoilt it at all enjoyed it ..the only crtiscm I have is the meat to juice ratio .usually I pour all the juice on as I get a lot of lamb but there is loads more juice to lamb so to avoid my curry swimming left some in container so a little bit more meat would be good better and next point is personal not crtiscm as it still a touch too spicy for me mouth was on fire lol but the actually taste of the curry was amazing ! Truly is a very good Indian who somehow manages to get the food to you still hot ! And that is amazing and rare more meat please 🙏 only a little so ratio is good but would definatly order again looking forward to...

I am very disappointed with the food quality who make biryani or pulao with tota chawal broken rice. The lamb was half cooked despite saying that make sure everything is well cooked and chicken was very old and not cooked fresh and the guy who was serving us was very darah hushyar giving us stupid tips and it was very uncomfortable. It is even not worth of one star I paid huge money and got just leftovers. These type of restaurants should learn the lesson from the customers and improve however I am sure the guy things he knows everything because he 21 years of experience despite I made a joke that I have more than 30 years of eating experience.

Apart from Joke I will not recommend to waste your money here.

My heart is still burning why I paid so much. And then I had to visit an other restaurant to eat. They have serving very less. I cannot imagine that a butter chicken has only 6 small bites of chicken. I wish I would have taken the pictures. Moreover those chicken pieces were stone a human cannot eat.

They tried to creat 5 star restaurant feeling but have 1 star services.

Please owner try to improve the quality of food and don’t give leftovers to customers who are paying more than...
