We love the Italian way, it’s our go to for a reasonably priced date night in Canton! We went here again on Saturday. It’s a family run restaurant where we are always greeted warmly - the service is great. The atmosphere is always wonderful with larger tables of families and friends celebrating special occasions or couples on dates! There is a good wine list, but you can also BYO wine or Prosecco (£7 corkage) and definitely order yourself a garlic bread! This isn’t a fine dining or fancy Italian - it’s homely food which is always fresh and tasty and keeps us coming back!

A wonderful place. There's a man on guitar by the door, singing away. Who here also loves a restaurant with light live music? Even if you don't, he very professionally asked us if he was too loud. Carry on mate, you rocked. Anyway, I came for food. Pizza was good, but it ain't taking the Canton crown of best pizza. Pasta, dessert, and wine were all fantastic. I love the experience of traditional restaurants. You get looked after. You get made to feel like family, You leave with a memory.

Long overdue review for this brilliant restaurant, great menu, some great options to choose from and a specials menu. The green pesto gnocchi was amazing. Starters, mains and desert were all brilliant, you really can't go wrong. Great atmosphere and decor, with good service and low waiting times for dishes. This Italian restaurant definitely deserves a visit.

Wow, what a miserable lot working in this establishment. Arrived at the restaurant and was not greeted with any welcome or smile. Food was preordered earlier in the week, so they already knew what we wanted. Waitresses were quite ignorant and miserable and ignored several requests by our party for some drinks. Members of the family have been regular customers of this restaurant for many years, and this was the first time this treatment had been given. We felt that we were just in their way, and they couldn't wait for us to leave. Upon paying the bill, everyone paid what they owed separately, but we had one couple accused of not paying and demanded they show the receipt, which they did but no apology was given by the waitresses for their mistake. This particular couple were known to the restaurant as they had been there several times already on their own. Food quality was excellent, but customer service should be exceptional, and here it was not. Just to point out, our party of 12 spent over £400 here. Sadly, we will not...

I have only good things to say about Lena, Giuseppe and Alfonso who together run The Italian Way restaurant.

They've been friendly and welcoming from the start and they cook the most delicious Italian food. They are more than happy to tweak your meal if you have dietary requirements or different personal tastes.

Every few weeks my family and I will come for the lunchtime special deal. For special occasions our No.1 choice for an evening meal will be here. Both times of the day the restaurant has a nice atmosphere with Italian music playing in the background and the same good quality food and service.

Onto the boring bits for those who haven't eaten here!

The kitchen sits at the back (don't worry it's not noisy) which is viewable and is always clean and organised. The dining area is clean and welcoming. The toilets are also clean and has never ran out of loo paper, soap or paper towels whenever I've been in there.

To round off, it's been my favourite Italian since it opened and I always look forward to...

The food is absolutely beautiful, best Italian food I've ever had. It's a shame their service is so bad. They need a couple of excellent waiters/waitresses in this place and it would be unstoppable. We went in tonight and only had 1 course and we were in there for nearly 2.5hrs. It was almost painful at the end waiting at the end to pay because everything takes so long. I asked for a couple of things and was either completely ignored as they had forgotten what I had asked for or they would come 20 minutes later with it. We were a table of 8 (4 adults, 1 child, 3 toddlers) and had a service charge of over £20 to add more salt to the wound when the service was shocking (not that they were horrible/mean or anything, just really unattentive and slow). I don't mind paying, we know about the service charge as been a few times before, even had cash in our pockets to tip as extra and didn't bother. Obviously still had to pay the £20 odd but didn't want to because the...
