Uisce By Heaneys — Restaurant in Wales

I went last week for drinks before food. Asking the staff about vegan options i was assured that some dishes could be made vegan and so stayed. Essentially this was by removing the most expensive ingredients without substitution, hallmark of a lazy restaurant behind the times. E.g. paid £9 for some meh tomatoes and 11 for some artichokes, all tiny portions of course. I was assured there would be a great sounding noodle dish as well, so ordered that. Cocktails were excellent, but i was recommended an off menu cocktail without being told there was a £2 surcharge. Anyway, in our party of four, SIX dishes never arrived, including the noodles, which was the only reason we stayed for food. Had i known I'd leave hungry i wouldn't have stayed. Ended up paying £44 for two cocktails and two substandard small plates alongside some bread which is quite frankly outrageous. From the minute we arrived Brandon and his team took great care of us. The oysters were indescribably delicious, sublime doesn't begin to describe them. Served 4 different ways there is definitely something for everybody. The sourdough bread with marmite butter was a treat and the mussels a must.
