Banh Mi Ca Phe — Restaurant in Warwick

I was so excited for this but sad to say it was a massive disappointment. Pretty much echo what other negative reviews say: Mediocre Banh Mi but fills a void if you're massively craving one. I had the Classic, they skimped on the Pate and the chilli sauce (the two key ingredients in my opinion!) Hugely overpriced. I wouldn't mind paying £9 if it actually tasted like a traditional Banh Mi. Service terrible... 2.30 pm on a Friday and I'm the only customer, and exactly 5 team members behind the counter chatting. Still took them 15 minutes to make my mine. They forgot to plug the card machine so it ran out of battery; the girl said I could pay when my order was ready and they'd reset the machine. So after my order arrives 15 minutes later, imagine my joy that they have forgot to plug it in again and so I spend another 5 mins watching them faff with the machine again. I almost left my order and walked out as I would have been able to get home and make my own...

My review is based only on the one item I tried; the Beef Pho.

The Beef Pho was not good. It was very average. The portion size and price point were good, but the flavour was seriously lacking, if not absent. The broth was bland; maybe the blandest I've ever had our of probably 50+ in both Vietnam and the UK. Which was incredibly disappointing as it looked great and the ingredients were clearly fresh. I had to ask for for some fish sauce and soy sauce (which were not on the table as condiments for customers to use themselves which itself is quite odd), and then add a tonne of sriracha sauce and mix the three into the broth to give it some flavour.

Sadly I wouldn't recommend the Pho here. This place seems to be Banh Mi focussed, so maybe the Pho is an afterthought and not the speciality. I will return though to try their delicious-looking Banh Mi which have great reviews on here, and will update the review...

Have been here a few times and have had lovely food. My last experience 18/09/22 12pm was not great! Ordered three baguettes, 2 chicken and 1 vegan for myself and friends to take away. After waiting for 20 minutes when there was no one in line before me, they arrived on a platter to eat in, that's fine! Mistakes happen; the guys then took another 7 minutes to wrap up my food and put it in a bag. Unfortunately all the food was put in together including the vegan one, and there was no way of knowing which baguette was which as they had all been sliced in half aswell. Most of the filling had fallen to the bottom of the bag too... I have minimal knowledge of food hygiene or handling in a proffesional environment but surely mixing a vegan meal with a meat meal that have not been properly packaged to take away...
