I always like to support local businesses. This was my first time to try Cafe Mechanics. The service by the ladies was great, but the food was average nothing special. The biggest fail was the grill extraction whicj was very lacking. They don't have a commercial kitchen extraction canopy to take out the smell. The whole cafe just smelt of a large fry up and after leaving the premises, my clothes just smell bad. It's a shame. If they can just sort out the right type of extraction, expensive but...

Food and coffee were very good nicely cooked with ample proportions. However, on my visit today it was very cold outside 4degs - the window was wide open and I was greeted with a surly and unapologetic barking from the chef to leave it open when I had asked fellow diner to close it.
