Cafe Tisto — Restaurant in Warwick

We’ve recently celebrated my mom’s birthday at Tisto Ukrainian Cafe with 16 mixed English & Ukrainian guests. What can I say - it was one of the best birthdays my mom had! And we were so pleased all of our guests came back with same feedback despite our language, culinary & cultural differences!

I have to thank the amazing staff team who organized the entire event from table & room decoration, wonderful selection of authentic Ukrainian & Continental food menu to background music of our choice(!) we could dance to & a Ukrainian scene photo zone 😃 A special thanks for organizing plenty of room for dancing, dining and moving around chatting, which was very much appreciated 👍

The “cherry on the cake” was a live(!) piano music performance by the wonderful host Valentin. Both Ukrainian folk & international melodies. I’m not sure he does it for all of the guests, at least I tend to put it on our credit ♥️ 😎 This performance really lit the atmosphere & we ended up… singing: the English side of the table was singing old Scottish folk songs, Ukrainian side of the table sang our old folk songs. It was fab 🫶

Located inside the church, the cafe offers a variety of drinks (coffees and soft drinks), sweet and savoury pancake options and a chance to try traditional Ukrainian food such as borscht (soup) and deruny (potato cakes).

Food is good there - I had borscht this time and it was a great experience to east something different and so tasty.

Will definitely be back to try their pancakes and coffee next time when I’m around.
