Coffee #1 Leamington - The worst experience I have ever had in a Coffee Shop, ever!!! On Sunday 12 June (at around 3pm) My wife and I, entered the shop and was met with an awful "dirty mop" type of smell. Ok, I couldn't be bothered to go elsewhere but decided to order. We wanted a normal flat white and a soy flat white and maybe a cake to go with this. Approaching the food cabinet, it was dire. Around 3 very tired and inedible looking Cheesecakes. So we flagged that and chose just to have Coffee. As I went to the order desk, the young lady behind the counter, just turned her back towards me and continued sucking on her chilled coffee and discussing God's knows what with the male colleague. I had to draw her attention to me, at which time she "begrudgingly" took my order. After around 10 minutes, she thought she had better do some work and prepare the Coffee's. We received these, on a really dirty tray, which I removed to take back to my table where my Wife was waiting. Looking around for Sugar, I returned to the counter to see if they had any. I eventually found a very sorry damp sachet of sugar at the bottom of a dirty brown box. Looks like I will be losing a bit of weight as I chose to refuse this. When I returned to my wife, I noticed the filthy saucers that the Coffee Cups were placed on. My Wife at this time, went to the counter and asked for "two clean Saucers" which was thrust into her hand. No sorry, nothing. Getting the Saucers now proved academic as the almost cold Coffee was consumed immediately. At which point we gladly left Coffee #1, Leamington Spa. I have enjoyed a Coffee in most towns and Cities in the UK and overseas. I don't expect a lot, just a good Coffee in good surroundings with a modicum of service, all of which Coffee #1, Leamington Spa failed to provide. This place is the worst I have had the pleasure of. Never again. I will certainly steer very clear of any Coffee #1 outlet elsewhere. I left one star for this, as if the Coffee was actually Hot, it wasn't that...
Read moreSo for a coffee house to be any good it has to get its core product right. And number 1 is so far off the mark it’s difficult to know what to say. I ordered a basic flat white on my way to the station to take away. The coffee even smelt bad before I had tasted it. When I tried to drink it, the coffee tasted watery and burnt. I didn’t even get ¼ of the way through before pouring it away. Unfortunately, the coffee isn’t the only thing that is bad about this place. The tired interior, rubbish cakes, cooked with cheap ingredients filled with sugar, the tired, dingey, interior, disinterested staff…..I could go on! I'd like to find something positive about this place, but the level of everything at this particular franchise is so poor that I can’t really find any redeeming features. I don’t work in catering or the service industry. But if I did, I’d hope to run a place where I actually cared about the end product. Unfortunately the owners of this (I use the phrase advisedly) coffee shop,...

I Ordered a pina colada smoothie, it tasted of just pinapple carton juice. I asked they could kindly exchange it but I was refused by the slim blonde glasses lady. I asked if they could atleast add coconut so I could taste something else. They said the smoothies are pre packet powder so they were unable to adjust the flavours too. This worried me as to what I was actually drinking!
Secondly I was surprised such a large franchise does nothing as good will gesture and to keep customers seen as it probably cost them 10p to purchase in bulk. Even independent businesses try to make you happy by these simple kind acts.
Not returning and will be sharing my experience on various social...
