Me and my wife decided to pop out for a nice coffee this morning and decided upon Spa Town Coffee for a change as reviews looked so good. Probably the worst mistake we made, the moment we both walked in the two staff looked like they had lost thier life savings, not even a smile and just about a hello from the gentleman. Anyway we decided to go ahead and order 2 large lattes to drink in. We sat down and a few moments later the female staff member just shouted out 2 lattes and walked away, my wife got up to get the lattes and we thought are you sure they are ours as we asked to sit in, she promptly replied "large is paper cups only" and once again turned and walked off... thought how rude. We tried not to let that ruin our morning and carried on. One observation was that with it being a small coffee shop and only one other customer in there with us was that you can hear everyone's conversation and one conversation we heard during the 30 mins or so we were there was the female staff member constantly complaining to her colleague about her shifts and how her hours were this and that, she sounded and looked so angry, this was very off putting when all we just wanted was a nice coffee without politics. Lastly im not sure if they just didnt like us due to large coffee comment but we noticed they served coffee and cakes to the customers where they sat and we were just asked to collect, thought that was not nice and seems some level of discrimination. I hope the manager gets to read this review but will certainly not be going back, but a pleasant smile and greeting goes a very...
Read moreThe best coffee in town by a country mile. I've been going there almost daily for 3 years, I've never had a dud or bad experience.
The place is well staffed and they care deeply about quality. The owner is often in the store working alongside the regular crew which is nice to see. Service is always super fast and the quality is consistently top notch. The staff all have a great sense of humour so it's easy to build a rapport. It's dog friendly too, they have water and dog biscuits put out for owners to use.
The place is well kept and very hygienic, I've never seen mess or dust on anything and staff actively keep it that way.
Outside of coffee, they do cakes and pastries which are all well chosen and match the same quality bar set by the coffee.
It's a small place, that takes a specialised approach rather than trying to be a jack of all trades which is rare these days. Everything it does, it does brilliantly, taking pride in what it is. I highly...
Read moreBeen coming here for regularly for 6+ years and still the best coffee and tea in Warwickshire, its my 4th update to this review over those years.
It's excellent tea and coffee, nowhere in Leamington beats them (or Warwickshire so far). The tea has no rivals in the arwa, no one comes close to the taste. Coffee you will find alternatives and you might prefer a stronger brand, Caravan their supplier is a lighter roast than some. However despite finding other interesting coffee shops in Leamington none of them are as consistent in their coffee making, not even close.
If you are a dog owner this place will welcome your dog with open arms and dog biscuits and water to meet their needs. The staff are superb.
Cake choice is limited but lovely and the cafe is a bit small, given the customer demand, but if you want tea or coffee...
