Waf Waf Cafe — Restaurant in Warwick

As a student I often look for places to study in and this place was brilliant. Unlike some of the more negative reviews I have had very different experiences here as I have been coming at least once a week. I am someone who hates waffles and prefer crepes but having tried several dishes this place may have changed my mind about waffles. The consistency of the waffle is excellent every time and a generous amount of topping with good servings for the price. The gluten free waffles are just as good as the normal ones which I was afraid of but this place did not disappoint. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. The baristas have been also excellent adjusting coffees to how i prefer and to my dietary requirements. I have usually around 2-3 different coffees because I usually sit all day there to get work done and every coffee I’ve had has been excellent and on the rare chance it wasn’t the order was amended immediately and politely. The managers and staff make sure to always ask for my student discount which I also appreciate. The place is usually quite full on weekends which I guess shows it success and is also dog friendly which is a joy. The managers are also polite and attend to any issues diligently and fairly. Utterly disgraceful. As a mother who has been acquainted with a child who was working within the establishment, I am truly and deeply disgusted. First and foremost, the vegan food- IS NOT VEGAN! The much beloved “vegetarian” annd “vegan” English breakfast is actually cooked with the same oils and fats as the full fat meats. Also any gluten free meals have been confirmed to give anyone with an allergy a reaction, as witnessed in person. Not to mention the other foods aren’t always handled with care or with the appropriate sanitary conditions (gloves, hairnets, etc.) I was also made aware of the overworked staff, my friend’s daughter, who was working under unmeetable standards of no sick days (even in advance!), not being insured to take of the 15 year olds they are hiring and no allowances for even an 8 week in advance heads up for a family holiday without the threat of being sacked. Not to mention, as a former frequent customer, the cleanliness of the cutlery and the tables are nauseating, always sticky, always dirty, and never cleaned with care (a few wipes of a dirty washcloth!!) I would not recommend this place to anyone to who is looking for authentic good quality vegan foods, very disappointed with the false marketing methods of this being a dietary...

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I wish someone could of snapped a picture of my little face light up when they said they have a Gluten-free and Vegan options. And they did not disappoint. Sooooo scrumptious, light, fluffy, golden, crispy deliciousness. I know this is going to be a favourite spot for me and my little one and can't wait to go back. There really aren't many places I'm aware of to go in Leamington for great Gluten-free and vegan desserts so this is much appreciated. There is a great looking breakfast menu and toast section that looks really good too.
