I love GBK as a brand but this store keeps disappointing me! I ordered the smashed burger (2 pattties) with fries & coke which is the lunch deal. Ordered when the deal was live. She charged me almost double the money than the deal costs. When I asked her about it, she told me it was my fault that I didn’t ask for the lunch deal. Which is literally what I asked for. She told me it’s my fault since I didn’t explicitly say “i want the lunch deal”. This is a plain scam. I work as a local restaurant manager - if someone isn’t aware of the meal deals, I remind them. Instead of that, she was not only happy to overcharge me, she blamed me for it too. Very unprofessional. After this, how can you expect me to “enjoy” the burger with fries and coke that I paid 17.40 for, when sitting at thr table looking at the same exact offer for 9.95? Outrageous!!! Sat at table for an hour, while they ignored us.
After chasing twice, they finally admitted they'd lost the order, so we waited for them to cook another one.
After another wait, turns out it was the wrong one, had got us mixed up with another table.
Got refund and left, having wasted our time.
Possibly explains a half empty restaurant...staff were so busy with delivery orders, they ignored the waiting customers.
All the while, a clearly ill member of staff lay prone on one of the restaurant seats, while her colleagues brought her hot drinks and blankets.
In a food preparation area! A health inspector's nightmare, why didn't they just send her home?
If this is the standard of service across the GBK chain, no wonder they're in financial trouble.

While the food itself was fine and the burgers lived up to their reputation, the service around drinks was seriously lacking. The flavour was off, the carbonation was flat, and it was clear something wasn’t right. We brought this up with the staff, but it took over 20 minutes to resolve, which was frustrating, we’d had our food delivered and had finished eating before the replacements arrived. Even after that, the experience didn’t improve - we asked for the included refills, but those requests went completely ignored. For a restaurant positioned as a premium experience, I expected far better service, it’s a Thursday evening and the restaurant was quiet.
