We ordered 3 poppadoms which unfortunately didn't set our expectations high, as they were stale. For a starter we had the lamb momo's which were exceptional one of the best we had eaten then the other 2 were mediocre, they were the Amritsari Fish and Mutton Pantheras. For mains we had Rajasthani mutton which again was amazing, Dhaba Murgh which was good, but the chefs special, which was a fish dish was so sweet, it was to my palette inedible, even my husband who has a sweet tooth though it was way to sweet. As there was no description of the dish and when the waiter described it, there was no mention it was a sweet curry so there was no way we would have know it was so sweet. Definately several dishes were not to our taste. However the thing that really annoyed us was we paid in cash, we never implied or offered for the waiter to keep the change as a tip, and the change wasn't returned, it was just assumed on his part. On a positive £111.50 for 2 courses for 3 people, a bottle of wine and a beer is good value if we had enjoyed the food. As we use to eat often in Ladypool Road, at Saleems and our daughter lives in Leicester, we had high hopes as Warwick is in desparate need of a great Indian restaurant, unfortunately Rangoli for us...
Read moreMy wife and I were visiting Warwick for a weekend getaway from London, and after a day exploring Warwick Castle, we stumbled upon this Indian restaurant just around the corner — what a find!
The atmosphere was immediately welcoming, with stylish interiors and a relaxed, vibrant vibe. It felt like the kind of place you’d want to spend the whole evening, not just grab a quick meal.
We were really impressed with the staff — they took the time to ask what we liked, made thoughtful recommendations, and were happy to accommodate a couple of dietary requests without any fuss. That kind of care really makes a difference.
The food? Incredible. Honestly, this is the best Indian restaurant either of us have been to — not just in the UK. Every dish was packed with flavour, clearly made with love, and beautifully presented.
We also appreciated the wine and beer list — everything had been curated to pair with spicy food, and it worked brilliantly. It’s the little touches like that that elevate the whole experience.
All in all, a fantastic evening. Amazing food, great service, and excellent value for money. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town — and we’re already recommending...
Read moreI came here with my partner (April 2025) and it a really lovely restaurant and experience.
We had the chilli soy, punjabi chole and nizami chicken biryani, all of which were amazing. You can get a really good spread of smaller and larger plates. This restaurant is really accommodating of vegan and vegetarian options, and the food is really like an authentic modern take on north Indian cuisine. They also do home made desert options - we tried the chai tiramisu and mango cheesecake, which were excellent.
The staff are incredible - super friendly, able to provide good recommendations and very attentive. This helps create a really warm and welcoming atmosphere, inside a newly renovated restaurant which feels cosy and comfortable.
There is a fantastic selection of draft and bottled beers, clearly selected by an enthusiast of Asian beers! They're not the standard ones you always see in Indian restaurants, which is really refreshing to see, and they're all really good. I can recommend trying them all with half pints!
The owners have clearly put a lot of their passion and love into this place, and it really shows. I'll absolutely be coming back as a regular. Thanks for a...
