Wow, what an experience! We booked around 2 weeks in advance for a party of 7 (including 1 toddler and a baby) which they were perfectly fine to accomodate including providing us with two high chairs. Upon arrival what surprised us is that we were provided with a private room with sofas and a coffee table which couldn't have been better for us given the kids and the need to spread out and have the added privacy. The staff were as proffessional and welcoming as staff can get! They were also incredibly knowledgable about the building providing us with little bits of historical information which was really cool and added to the charm of this age old establishment. Talking of the charm, what really impressed me was how well it was kept given the age of the building whilst also decorated in such a way to take you back in time. The menu was a spectacular selection of various teas / coffees and British culinary delights. The tea selection was something to behold, they had all manner of teas from a classic English Breakfast all the way to an early Harvest White Tea from the farthest reaches of East Asia with some of them having food pairing recommendations. The teas themselves were served in classic chinaware every cup having a different look or size with the tea being brewed in a generously sized pot making £2.85 an abolsute bargain! Foodwise they were more than happy to accomodate for the kids providing a small cup of baked beans and for us we got some Welsh Rarebits, a slide of the Eton Mess (which was the special at the time) and a Ploughmans Platter. All the dishes were immaculately served and presented wonderfully and to be honest at this point I wouldn't havev cared if it tasted crap because everything else was so good up to this point! But of course it all tasted amazing and everything was wolfed down very soon after it arrived! This place gets an easy 10/10 from me. The building, the decor, the staff (who may I add were so enthusiastic and smiling) and the food was the perfect recipe for a perfect place in Warwick. If you're in Warwick whether it be for the castle or otherwise, this place is an abolkuste must to visit, no questions!

My husband and I popped in for a bit to eat after visiting Warwick Castle. We'd walked past the tea room on the way, and husband suggested checking it out as we walked past again. We received a friendly greeting. We asked for a table, and we waited while they got one ready. It was cosy. We shared a table with a suit of armour wearing a blanket. Service was quite quick. We each had a sandwich, a drink, and a cake. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. The sandwich was presented in 4 quarters with some crisps and a little bit of salad on the side. The cake was quite a generous portion. The cost was about £27 in total, which we thought good value for the portion size and quality. Accessibility - the building is quite an odd shape with small doorways. It is level to get in, then a small ramp up to the café. It is quite narrow and small inside, so could be tricky for those with wheelchairs or mobility problems. There is a toilet outside, which is accessed around the side. It is not an accessible toilet.

What a lovely gem of a place, all the staff were lovely, couldn't do enough to help.I sat outside with views up the quaint road looking at the church. We only had tea and cake there which were delightful, fresh and good size, looking at the food coming out to other tables it all looked really good.I had a keemun tea as never tried it before ,was nice and would have again. They have such a big selection of teas,I'll try a different one next time I visit though. The fruit scone with clotted cream and jam was served warm. Best scone I've had in a long time. My son had the carrot cake which he said was really good too.The prices were reasonable too,I came for a walk around the park and came to this place for a change from the park cafe. It took less than ten minutes to walk here. This is going to be my go to place now for a tea and cake.highy recommended.

My friends and I stopped in on a whim this afternoon looking for somthing light. After going over the menu; however, we all ordered the afternoon tea and could not have been happier! Everything was absolutely wonderful, and we had such a lovely time. The sandwiches were excellent! The scones with clotted cream and jam were amazing, and I personally fell in LOVE with the Lemon Drizzle Cake!! Service was lovely and we feel so taken care of. If I could stop back every day of this trip I would absolutely do so, but I bought the recipe book just in case I can't before I go back to the States! An absolute highlight of my day!

I've been coming to Thomas Oken for over 10 years and I've always loved the kitsch quirky atmosphere and amazing food (highly recommend the afternoon tea!). Its now under new management and I'm super pleased they've retained the old menu and inherited the wonderful homemade cakes and amazing bread used for sandwiches. Inside has had a makeover and whilst the refresh has been good in some respects, many of the quirks have gone including the beautiful floral China used previously. Still a wonderful place, but with a bit less soul.

A true credit to one of England's finest traditions - afternoon tea accompanied by a tasty treat. As a tourist it showed just how pleasant an experience as simple as afternoon tea could be.. The only negative is that I'll never be able to match the richness of that cream.. If you're going to the castle for the day, don't miss rounding out your visit here to give those feet a well earned rest in an authentic old building that my grandma would have just loved. A real gem!
