The Horse & Jockey — Restaurant in West Lindsey

Oh my God where do I start with this One. From the moment we walked in I knew it was goner be a bad experience. Starting with smell of stale beer as we walk through the restaurant currently filled with stock and rubbish to get to our room as we walk upstairs the place is in need to renovation. I understand being old pub it's not goner be modernized but when the wall crumbles a ruins you clothes with brick dust and cement it's a shambles after paying for a safe and warm bed to rest. Cement is a harmful when breathed in. As we get to our room the staff failed to organize rooms. No one had a clue. Place was cold and damp. Showers didn't work adequately as barely any water comes out. Toilet had no toilet roll. Had to walk through the pub not once but twice to ask to toilet roll as she failed to get it the first Time. I travel a lot for business and leisure and I have never ever been so disappointed in wat could of been a beautiful experience. I do Hope something is done before some hurt...

As a customer who visits The Horse & Jockey every weekend I can honestly say the staff are amazing, on top form with dealing with any problems especially the manager. Gainsborough is a small place & like all pubs The Horse & Jockey can get rowdy but it's always dealt with in a reasonable manner & quickly at that. The atmosphere is great especially when everyone joins in on the karaoke, which plenty of people do. Very reasonable prices on alcohol also with a great expanding list of lovely cocktails. I would definitely recommend this pub for a great night...

I’ve seen many negative unfair reviews being left from the view by some people In my opinion it’s an extremely family orientated and a place to go to have a great laugh sing on the karaoke and just enjoy your night to the max! bonus karaoke all night not just a couple of hours but till 1! Absolutely amazing the amount of friendly people i met is crazy and the bar staff are so generous they are extremely great to make us feel welcome and amazing hospitality wouldn’t fault this pub for anything. Definitely the best place to go in...
