I sent an email over on the same day with no response. Shame really :/ we came to the bistro most weeks for breakfast or an evening meal, but today was a disaster for us as it was our wedding anniversary. We went to the bistro for a meal on the 14/2/24 to only be greeted with a set menu with alcohol. We do not drink as my husband has had an addiction to it in the past and the lady said “well I’m sorry but that’s all that comes with it.” I cannot drink either due to health issues and was disappointed there was no non alcoholic beverages that could’ve been included in this set menu for people that don’t drink. I then ordered a berry spritz and she said he could have a large pint of lemonade to overturn the fact we didn’t have alcohol yet it cost more than the berry spritz! And it didn’t come off either way so we still paid. The other thing we would like to complain about is the fact that the set menu has pretty much all mushroom dishes with no variety of food. I’m not a massive mushroom fan, and to be greeted with 6/8 dishes with mushrooms is disappointing. I ended up having a dish with mushrooms just because I like the other parts of the dish. We didn’t complain in store as they are working hard today but also didn’t want to make a fuss to be honest and thought I’d wait to contact someone here than say everything in front of everyone. Your tables are disgusting too. The amount of grime in the crevice's of the tables is vile. The amount of germs and bacteria on those tables is gut wrenching. I have a video of this. And the set menu if you want proof of anything I’ve said. We were also never asked if we were allergic to anything whereas the other table opposite us was. We also booked this a month ago, and asked for a window seat. However when we got there, they said they don’t book them and need it back at 8:45pm. Surely if you can’t book, then why would they need the table back before this time unless they know someone has booked a window seat. We were given the window seat but I felt like I was being pressured into eating fast so they can have their table back. I also don’t agree with the automatic service tips added onto a bill. I think people should be given a choice as to whether they want to give a tip or not, rather than automatically adding it onto a bill and not saying anything when it comes to payment. Very rude It was a very disappointing...
Read moreI booked a table for 3 in Bistrot Peirre 13 days ahead of time and mentioned in my booking that I would like a table close to the window facing the sea front at 7pm on 17/2/24. This is beacuse, we would love to enjoy our family time watching the fireworks at the Grand Pier. My wife visited the restaurant 3 days prior to the booking date to confirm that the table is near the window. It was confirmed by a male staff and we are so delighted for it. On the day of our booking, we came 20 minutes early than the set time. We inform the lady who is incharge of assigning tables, that we reserved a table for 3. The staff then accompanied us to a table behind the staff little counter at the middle of the restaurant, which was not the same table that was shown to us. It was busy and tables were full at that time so we did not bother, although my wife and I already feel bad about it. Couple of minutes passed and some tables at the window side were available. Our order did not came yet, so my wife appoached the same lady in-charge of the tables that if we could transfer as we booked for it. However, the lady said that it can be for 4 persons only. We don't have choice but to stay on the same table. Firework started and my son was excited and run to the window as we dont have a clear view. My wife and I joined and stayed at the corner of the window between the 2 vacant tables. I try to stand behind the column between the windows so I would not block the view much for others. The same lady who is in-charge of the tables, approached us and said to us that we need to transfer to the other side as we are blocking the view for the other costumers. I feel ashame and makes me feel like an ignorant as nearby costumes heard it, So I ask my wife and my son to go back to the table instead. Few minutes passed and the vacant tables started being filled with customer, then we notice the the 2 vacant 4 sitter table at the window were just being filled by 2 persons. The night was spoiled and the experience was unpleasent. I gave 2 star to the Service because of the waitress who was kind to us and making sure we are happy with our meal or this could be zero if not for her. I would like to imply that restaurant's great food and ambience are nothing without proper...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews and seeing it as I passed there numerous times I thought to finally go eat there. Unfortunately for the below reasons I will never eat there nor recommend anyone to eat there.
We were extremely disappointed and on Monday I’ll be calling the Weston Mercury with my review as I bet you a million pounds when with our white colleague’s, my friends white husband or white associates we are treated differently, namely much better and rightfully so like a valued customer.
I would warn any ethnic minorities to stay away and anyone who doesn’t see colour but the persons heart and integrity to stay away from this horrible place who will never get a penny from me nor anyone I can talk to about them.
I wish I could give them 0 stars and hope the owner of this restaurant reviews the cctv camera to reprimand and invest in better...
