Shanghai Papa Restaurant — Restaurant in Winchester

Went to dine in and it was not a good first impression. The restaurant décor was very dark and dull like the atmosphere. Most of the food on the menu were not available. Some of the food did not taste fresh. And the service was extremely slow. I understand this restaurant is very popular with takeaways and makes most of their sales through there but literally had many customers call in and told that there long list of food orders will be ready in 15 minutes whereas our first dish took 20-25 minutes to be served. But I have to admit that other than the foods that didn't taste fresh like the dumplings and the roast duck, the rest such as noodles and rice dishes was good and tasty and our server was very nice and kind. I felt bad for her as she was the only one working and that could have also been the reason for the slow service. I will order a takeaway from here again but I will...

Food is delicious, just a shame they keep missing, things. Like a drink or chips, small things. I don't order much so its a bit dissapointing to pay that much. What mainly let's it down is when you deliver, there is a certain driver whom is rude every time. I live in the upstairs flat, of what looks like a flat, when you knock on the door I can't hea it but there is a buzzer which he completely blanked. I heard him knock quite loudly to find him tell me off because he's been waiting ages. If it wasn't for the fact there's a bell and I checked ten mi it's previously to make sure he wasn't there, I wouldn't have been annoyed, but unfortunately, he didn't have the comments sense to ring the bell, he forgot part of my order, and was rude every time he's delivered about knocking on a door. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but we’ve had a really bad experience. Food is usually okay if not a bit soggy- however, this time, there was short black hair in the lemon sauce for the lemon chicken. I know these things happen sometimes but in times of Covid when you expect hygiene to especially high this was a bit concerning. I called the restaurant to ask for another sauce and refund and whilst they agreed to refund the dish in question eventually they said they could not bring another sauce. I thought this was pretty shoddy customer service and ruined the meal. We won’t be using them again. Would reccommend Mr So instead. Never soggy...
