Have been wanting to try this place for some time based on reviews and driving past often especially with it being an independent restaurant rather than part of a chain which I would always choose. Initially the welcome and seating we couldn't complain. Following Covid guidelines again excellent. The service from the waitress and the knowledge about the food again we have no complaints it was all very pleasant and we were made to feel welcome. But where this place disappointed was the food. My wife's soup of the day was she said excellent and no complaints but my calamari was clearly overcooked and very rubbery in texture. When it came to mains my wife ordered the chicken escalope and I had the duck, we ordered some potatoes as a side. When it came the the accompaniments there were no complaints but the chicken escalope my wife found dry and my duck, the skin was not crispy, not rendered properly, the meat was fine but unrendered duck fat/skin is not pleasant to eat. I recommend this restaurant for it's decor, service and friendly, knowledgeable staff who look after you very well. But the food was not to the standard you expect from what you would hope are professional chefs. A bit of a mixed review. Service, decor, ambience can't complain, food could be better.

This was the first place we booked as part of the eat out to help out scheme and after listening to great reviews from friends I have to say it was a disappointment. The place was so warm and mucky with the recent heat wave and even though there were air cons on the walls, they weren’t turned on. The cocktails were nice but overpriced for the area. No thought put into decor or ambience just too busy perhaps trying to recover from the loss of business the last few months. Being a vegetarian I ordered the calda starter which was dripping in oil and killed the appetite. For mains we had a calzone & a spaghetti which we couldn’t finish & the staff were quick to do a takeaway. I’d probably be happy to make the journey to Birmingham and get much more for the same price. Never going back.

Amazing staff, food, drink and service. I had dined last year and was pleased with mostly the food which lived up to expectations. I hired the restaurant for my birthday celebrations on 8th January 2023. The communication from start to finish was excellent with responses within a reasonable timeframe. All information requested was clear for me to organise my private dining experience. The presentation of the welcome drinks was creative as I had no idea what non-alcohol alternative to the Prosecco Bellini’s would look like. I put my trust in the staff and was not disappointed. The feedback from my 35 invited guest, including the children is a 5 star, thumps up. Thank you Nadia and all the staff who made my kick off birthday celebration for 2023 memorable.

Had a lovely meal here with a friend. The atmosphere is lovely and the welcome warm. The staff were very attentive and friendly. My only negative was the push on the specials was a little much. My friend was slightly uncomfortable when we had to say no a few times. Once should be enough. We shared a pizza to start (unconventional I know), the base was light and melt in the mouth with the gooey cheese deliciousness. I had duck to start which was well cooked and tasty and my friend had the lobster linguine. Profiteroles and lightest cheese cake I’ve had in a long while. All in all a great place, independent, and busy. Will be going back for sure.

Would have given higher star rating as the food itself was lovely. I had lasagne but it didnt come with anything, i was thinking it may have come with garlic bread. So any i had chips which were extra and added to the meal price and made it quite expensive. Also the drinks weren't cheap. 1 had gluten free pizza which wasnt nice thou so sent it back. Tiramisu dessert was nice. We also had some still water which is usually free and we were going to be charged for, plus they said the price of the pizza was taken off and it wasn't, these were rectified. The staff were very nice but we wont be going again

Tried the fizz menu which was 2 courses and a glass of either prosecco/wine/soft drink. The arancine for starters was nice but lacked in salt and size. For mains was the pizza caprese, which had a nice crispy base and was seasoned well. Dessert was an extra £4 so tried the tirasmu. The portion was generous but lacked flavour from the coffee, it was more creamy than anything. The staff were friendly throughout the service so no issues there. Room for improvement but I'd maybe visit again to try their a la carte menu, as other diners had meals which looked decent!
