Updated 01/12/2023-ordered food through their own app. Placed order for home delivery at 17:54 and I had to call at 18:52 to ask for order where about and ask for additional ginger and the lady said that the driver will leave in next 4-5 mins. Then I called again at 19:27 to find out where my food was and the lady said the driver left 5 mins back and the order finally arrived at 19:42. Almost 2 hours in total. So when the food arrived I took my medication which I have to have before meals. Started with chicken Gyoza which was good and then with beans and then got sushi out just to know there was no wasabi- now as I had already taken my medication I had to have sushi with only soya sauce and no wasabi in it which does not taste nice. The whole point of sushi is to have it with wasabi. Then was going on desert and there was no dorayaki. So now I had to call the restaurant so thought would mention about missing wasabi and missing desert. The guy on the phone asks me to check the bags and I mentioned no desert as ordered. The guy on the phone still asks me if “I am sure” as if I could not see if I had the box with desert. Then the guy said is I will send the driver with desert and throw in a drink. Then he again asks me if I am sure and at this point I got stressed out and I said leave it and I dnt want my already paid for desert. U can keep it and I hung up. They called me back again and the guy over the phone had the audacity to question me again if I was sure if I received the desert or not. And I said please leave it and the guy said “because you have complained several times before” that’s when it hit me that last month when I ordered my dinner they sent freezing cold edamame beans with excessive salt (roughly 2 tsp heap full of table salt- not to forget 2 order of beans in same freezing condition) and that time I had also asked for extra ginger. And rightfully as customer I can complain because I paid for edamame in warm condition with right amount of rock salt. So last month they did send the right temperature beans. So today At this point the tone of guy was just not acceptable. So I gave up my already paid for desert. According to the guy I always complain but I had only complained last time and today that is twice and I use this place for sushi delivery directly or through Deliveroo. As a customer we have right to get the food in the right way and as a restaurant they have to send the food in the right way. If he is trying to cover up for his staff or the staff did not say the truth is the restaurant matter to find out not the customer. The restaurant management needs to question this guys customer service skills which are questionable at this point and they need to rectify their issue. Someone down at their end is not doing their job right. But that gives no right to the restaurant to be disrespectful to the customer. I am not ordering from here again. They can have £3.49 which I paid for dorayaki. Advise for customer ordering for delivery- when u receive order please check temperature of food containers when delivered in front of the delivery guy and check the number of containers it should match the order placed IN FRONT OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER. So you are not disappointed. 1 star is the bare minimum I could rate here or I would go lower. And I would leave my previous review as below as food is ok. But services could be a lot better. I mean a lot Ordered through Deliveroo and got it on time advised. Food was packaged nicely and presentation was good. Edamame was amazing, mochi was good but overly sugary. Sushi fish was good but the rice could have been cooked a bit more. Chicken gyoza was good. Overall average

I’ve honestly tried multiple times to like this business, because it’s one of the only 2 sushi restaurants in Wolverhampton, but tonight was the final straw. I should’ve known when there was a kitchen full of Indians making Japanese food, no racism, just reality. The sushi here is made as if everyone involved in the business has only eaten sushi from a petrol station fridge. Sushi means “seasoned rice”, the rice here isn’t only unseasoned, but also not cooked properly, it was basically rice pudding inside nori sheets with some dry cucumber in the middle, which had a slight taste of sweat. Not to mention the premium prices charged here, which I have no problem paying, if the product is premium… it’s not only not premium, it’s bottom of the barrel sushi - have had much better sushi from Waitrose. Not only is the food not up to scratch, the service is also not up to scratch. You order a takeaway for 10:30pm (ordered at just before 10pm) for cucumber maki, which the ingredients for cucumber maki is: sushi rice, sushi seasoning (not used so saved time here anyway), cucumber & nori sheets… even with such a simple order, you can guarantee they’ll be 15-20 mins past collection time, even when the restaurant is empty. Never an apology, never an offer of anything on the house etc… you know, STANDARD customer service. Nope, none of it. I’m not quite sure how this business is still going, let alone how it’s a franchise. You haven’t even got the original restaurant correct yet, how can you have branched out into other locations lol? Maybe the staff at the other places actually know how to cook food properly. Awful business, rude service, bottom tier food, only go here if there’s no other options and you’re absolutely starving, post apocalypse sort of situation whereby this place is the only place that serves food. Tried 4-5 times to like this place, just couldn’t do it. Avoid.

I rarely leave Google reviews, I work in a Japanese restaurant, so I understand the working environment. I don’t leave bad review unless it’s really bad. I really wanted to have Japanese cuisine today. so I found this restaurant that had good reviews on Google, and the owner responds to comments. We arrived at around 12:10 PM, and Google listed the opening time as 12:00 PM, but the door was still locked, and we thought the restaurant might be closed today. The restaurant looks nice. But the staff don’t look like they are ready to work. Ramen: The noodles were overcooked and too soft. Sushi: The rice was too wet, which is not how sushi rice should be. The ratio of salmon to rice in the salmon sushi roll was incorrect. The soy sauce for the sushi is also wrong. I saw reviews mentioning that the service was great, but unfortunately, we didn't experience that today. The food was served, but there were no chopsticks or utensils on the table. I came here because I read reviews saying the food was great, so we drove twenty minutes to get here. However, after coming here, I really don't understand why the ratings are so high. During our meal, a few customers came in for takeout, so I believe it has its own regular customers, but the sushi and ramen we ordered today were really disappointing. I'm certain that anyone who makes food like this has never tasted real Japanese sushi and Raman. If you're like me will check reviews before trying a restaurant, I hope you see this review.

Ordered takeaway from here last night through Just Eat and it was absolutely atrocious! Avoid at all costs!

Ordered food at half 7. Estimated delivery was between 8 and 8:20. This was then changed by the restaurant to 8:45. Fine, if you are busy we understand. Then by 8:50 when it had still not arrived we tried ringing them directly. No answer from them with none stop calling for half an hour! We then had another update from Just Eat that it would now be here by 9:10 (an hour later than originally estimated!). Still no answer from them on the phone at 9:15 when it still wasn't here. The 'food' finally arrived at 9:27 with no apology from the delivery driver! A 2 hour wait is just unacceptable without apology or renumeration - for which we have been declined quoting they were busier than usual, however looking at their Just Eat reviews now this is a VERY common problem, so they seem to always be busy but can't handle it. Close to takeaway if you are letting people down this much! I only wish I had looked at tour reviews before ordering. After waiting for 2 hours you expect the food to taste good but we were bitterly disappointed. My 'Fiery' rice was luke warm and had huge clumps of rice still white, with no flavour to it at all! The sushi tasted old and worried us to eat more than 1 piece each as we thought after waiting so long that it was not fresh. The calamari was honestly the worst I have ever had, and the bowl was mostly full of carrot with only 4 small pieces, so even if it had tasted nice it was a very poor portion size. I could go on and on, it was honestly the worst takeaway I have ever experienced and it all went into the bin.

Avoid!...
