Very poor quality food. Avoid it. Went for brunch with my wife on Friday to the Wolverhampton branch. It was bitterly cold that day. The restaurant was colder because all the radiators were off. We were the only customers. We decided to brave it and waited for our straightforward order of dosa and medu vada. The vadas were good except the coconut chutney was completely salt free. I told the manager who went to the kitchen, returned and told me that it had been sorted. He didn’t think about bringing me some salt or the corrected coconut chutney. Seeing our discomfort, he kindly left us a boiled kettle of water. The dosas arrived. Mine was cold but I decided not to complain. My coconut chutney was still bland. I wondered if I had developed covid and lost my taste and smell. The manager smirked that I was still not satisfied. More concerned that there was something wrong with me, I decided to ask my wife. She said hers had too much salt. I tried it, more to reassure myself of my taste. Hers had so much salt that despite the manager looking at me I had to spit it out. The manager looked at me as though there was something wrong with me. At this point I decided that we best leave. I offered to pay for the vadas, which he was happy to accept and then he told me that I was a bad customer. At this point I gave him the benefit of my tongue and left. On reflection, my dosa has already been made and was therefore cold. When told about the lack of salt in the coconut chutney, the cook salted them, i.e. my wife’s, that with the vada and that with my dosa, except I think he put all three lots in my wife’s. And then the manager said that it was me who was...
Read moreSo, I needed matka kulfi and this place sells matka kulfi. I checked on Google and this place has their opening timings written on Google as 10.00 am on Sunday, so I reached at the resturant at 11 15 am only to b told that they can't give me matka kulfi because it's only opened for breakfast? But, matka kulfi isn't a breakfast item or lunch item. It's just a dessert. Also, it's not mentioned anywhere that they don't accept cards. So, because I didn't have cash, I asked if I can order online and pay online and then can I get the stuff, she said yes ok. Then when I ordered through just eat and paid extra for the kulfi, because price at store is £3.75 & online it's £4.85!! On top of that I had to pay £0.50 as service charge. Then, lady staff told me that earliest collection will b at 12.15! It's a dessert!! She just had to open the freezer take the stuff out put it in a bag and give it to me.. I have paid £5 extra by now! She didn't have to make it... She didn't have to get a delivery driver to get the delivery done!!? So why the wait?? Anyways, finally after a frustrating experience and waiting for 15 odd min she gave me the kulfi. Such an irritating experience. Sorry to say, this has put me off this place,...
Read moreI recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to share my feedback. While the food was enjoyable, I had a disappointing experience with the service provided by one of the staff members. I intended to avail of a takeaway deal but was charged a higher price. When I inquired, the explanation given was not satisfactory. I was told that since my food had already been packed, no amendments could be made—even though I had not yet paid my bill. A certain level of flexibility in accommodating customer needs would have been appreciated.
Additionally, the takeaway packaging provided was of poor quality, as the cover tore before I could even take it home. I also requested a customised menu item (a single vada), but my request was declined without much consideration.
I understand that some staff members may be working part-time while balancing university commitments, and I appreciate their efforts. However, a stronger focus on customer service, attentiveness, and adaptability would enhance the overall dining experience.
I hope my feedback helps in improving future service, and I look forward to a better...
