Pepe's — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

The manager is rude and incompetent. This place has seriously gone downhill! What a shame, being a very regular customer I am now so put off. The size of the chicken was half of what it normally is, they are so tight with their sauces and peri salt. My chicken was not cooked right and was dry and the sauce tub wasn’t even 1/5 full, what is that about? There isn’t enough peri salt on the chips, this place is getting worse by the day. I called up and was told to come and collect a new combo meal instead of it being delivered despite everything being their mistake, when I arrived back I was told to go all the way back home and bring back the food I had got rid of, this was not initially requested when I made the complaint. I was then lied to and told we agreed that I’d bring back the original messed up food I was unhappy with when no such conversation was had. I refused to go back and come back again and was treat horribly. The manager was whispering in the staff members ears instead of speaking to me directly and I then waited another half an hour to get back the chicken rather than a full new meal as promised. The chicken which was sat waiting around so no idea why they made me wait half an hour. All other customers were served despite me arriving before them. My meal was completely ruined as the chips and sides were cold by the time I got back and the way I was treated has put me off this place, rather than apologising to me I was made to feel like I’ve done them wrong. Horrible. There are far other newer and better places around now like peppers across the road which will now be getting my regular custom, great customer service and the food is good too, they actually listen to...

I would give this place 4/5 for the quality and taste of it's chicken, along with the prices. They are pretty consistent with their food, and all the time I've had chicken from here, it's tasted the same - juicy, just the right amount of spice and grilled to perfection.

Service, however, is absolutely appalling. Whatever they make up for in food, is completely stripped away by their service. Especially when it comes to home delivery. The lines are forever busy, and when you finally manage to get a hold of them, they have the audacity to ask you to call back because it's "too busy". Then comes the actual taking of the order, where the gentleman on the phone is constantly distracted by someone else barking something at him, and me having to repeat my order a minimum of 5 times. Not only that, but then when they say it might take an hour, expect at least 2.5 hours because that's what has happened with me. Also, when I phoned after an hour to find out about my order, they had gotten the order wrong! Absolutely disgusting service, it's not even...

Update check there latest images on here yo will see the pictures of food they served me 🤢Wish I could add pictures this place served me raw chicken, what looked like a worm in a piece of the raw chicken, claimed i got a full refund off Uber when infact I have the original reciept to say I was refunded for just the XL meal ate half the burger before realising the chicken was still raw gave me bad food poisoning for 2 days then have the audacity to say I was blackmailing them when I was actually giving them an option to resolve with out the hassle of all publicity! If anybody would like to see pictures of what they served me that they claim it wasn’t from them but can clearly see there pepes piripiri logo on the wrappers on the pictures I taken check the Nextdoor app or go on tiktok I shared for all to see or message me in person I will happily show all evidence of what they served me and the way i was treated as a first time...
