In summer time situated in Evesham Market place, with plenty of outdoor space this is a popular place to be. My visit later in the year was confined to the indoor facilities. The lighting was very subdued or dim depending on your point of view but there was plenty of space. When I visited there was only one woman serving at the counter, clearly worked of her feet with quite a queue. She was very efficient and the people waiting seemed very happy to accept this and I sensed they serve a lot of regulars. The place is clearly dog friendly which is so important these days. No waitress service was available which could be an issue for some customers. Two lovely looking Chesterfield chairs decorated a cosy looking corner and I think most people over 40 would be happy taking a friend for coffee there. No background music which can be a plus for the hearing impaired. I am giving 5 stars because most people won`t bother with anything less, which quite frankly I think is a shame. Edit: I have taken off a star because I've just been there today to find all new staff I haven't seen before, none of which even acknowledged the dog. I went there specifically so he can visit and be fussed and spoiled by the baristas, because that's what always used to happen. Not a single treat, pet or "Oh hello!" for him with this newer crew. The coffee is still just as incredible as ever (my absolute favourite), but the customer-with-dog experience has gone from something massively special to just plain average.
To the two women who used to work weekends here:...
Read moreRidiculous service. Apparently due to only two members of staff on Sunday, they could only serve "Take Away" ie drinks in disposable cups, and sandwiches etc served in paper bags. You were still invited to sit indoors, but were refused a plate for toasted sandwich due to 'staff shortage'!!! Consequently my toasted cheese and mushroom sandwich was left in tatters when the cheese topping got stuck to the inside of paper bag. Are you telling me there is no dishwasher machine?? And that it is so time demanding to use it?? I had thought things were getting better at Coffee 1, but I think my recent re-connection as establishment of choice in...
