Today, 9/26/23 @ 12 noon, my sister and I stopped at the location on S. Clack for lunch. Only 3 other customers were present. As we were waiting to be seated, Heather couldn't take time to even acknowledge that we were standing there as she ignored us to pick a long hair off the black shirt of her male coworker, whom was wearing dirty white open toed slides with no socks thereby exposing his dirty looking feet while he had his shoulder length hair flowing free. When we were finally acknowledged and seated, my sister ordered a coffee and a water, and I ordered a Coke. After a few minutes, Heather returned with the water and Coke and advised she was "brewing" new coffee. My sister ordered a French Toast Slam and asked in lui of meat if she could substitute hashbrowns. Heather quit rudely stated "no". (While trying to order, Heather kept turning away to talk to the male coworker) We would have paid extra for hashbrowns but weren't given the option. I ordered the Berry Crepe Slam. We both ordered our eggs over medium, and both orders came out over easy. My sister's French Toast came out more dry than 14 day old bread, which was still so dry after putting a bunch of syrup on it. Our food took a long time, even though there were only 2 other people still in the restaurant, who already had their food. Our food was cold when it came out, even though we were told 15 minutes prior to being served that we were waiting on our eggs to be cooked. My sister never got her coffee she ordered. When we were paying, Heather stopped ringing us up to talk to a male customer that just walked in as she told him she would "put in his order for his usual and to sit wherever he likes". My sister then asked that the coffee on our bill be removed as she never got it. Heather stated, "Oh, I never brought it, but I brewed it." It was removed from our bill. There was an extreme difference in how we were talked to and the customer service we received versus the attention her male coworker and the male customer received. A woman and her elderly father came in after us and received the same abrasive, dismissive, and flat customer service my sister and I received. There was no reason for this unpleasant experience. The restaurant was not busy at all! This is the second time we have eaten at this location and both times it has been a less than pleasant experience...from poor customer service and less than appetizing food to inappropriate footwear and long hair not pulled back and secured in and around the kitchen. It's totally disappointing all...

It started off with waiting in line. We waited a half hour and finally got to our table. Which is understandable. It's Christmas and only 2 places are open. I have no problem waiting. We were given to go cups because they didn't have enough glasses. Again, fine. After we decided we were ready to order the waitress took down our orders and left. She came and went 2 times within an hour and a half. Did not really check up on us, or seems sympathetic towards the wait time. 4 people who had come in after us, and a party of 5 got their food before us. This would have been understandable if she had been seen in between that time. During our entire wait time we could hear waitresses talking negatively and creating a bad experience for all of the customers. One of the times she checked up on us she brought us new water in a glass. But the glass was dirty, as if it hadn't even been washed. She brought us out another to go cup after we asked for those since we knew those hadn't been used. After waiting nearly 2 hours she comes out with our meals, which we see have been put in wrong. She again, seems very unsympathetic. However she did bring out the one part of the meal 15 minutes later, which we appreciated. We also told her that one of the steaks that was supposed to be medium rare was well done and she put in for a new one. When my friend's young child took a bite of the chicken it was raw. He spit it out and I called over another waitress since ours wasn't around. She got the manager for us. The manager said that the kitchen staff had been there since 6 am and that that's weird considering they're placed on a timer. She said she would put in a new order, which she went to do. It was as if she had just given us the wrong meal. Consuming that in the portion he got could have made him EXTREMELY SICK. And that's where we all decided to draw the line and leave. We approached the front desk and the young lady went to get the manager. She did not speak to us, reached past us to hand a lady a receipt. And then after 5 minutes of standing there silently she said that she took the chicken wings off of our meal and took 25% off.
They were extremely rude, unsympathetic and unprofessional. If you can't handle being busy then don't open on a day where there are only 2...
Read moreWhen we got there we were waiting on 3 people and the waitress was understaffed. So we didn't bother her much because there was people that were eating and we were waiting so it wasn't that big of a deal. She made it seem like every time she come to our table it was a burden. She made it very clear that she did not want to serve us. She complained and sighed the whole time she was working. We waited 45 minutes for 2 milkshakes I never got a refill on my tea, she spilled coffee on one of my friends' phones. Her attitude was complete garbage and then when I asked to speak to the manager she argued with us in front of the manager. I have been to this Denny's multiple times over the past month at least once a week. Generally I know she's the only 1 working and I try not to complain very much because there is a lot to do and I understand. When I talk to the manager she insulted me by saying that I had never worked in this sort of atmosphere before and she said that she would not always be in a happy-go-lucky mood because she was the only one working. On a previous visit she said she had been working with Denny's for 3 years on this very shift. I understand that it's hard for one person to do things she should have been used to working her shift as previously stated and she should have been better with time management. She seemed to be having a very bad night and she did not seem that she wanted to be there at all. It is a real disappointment because I enjoy Denny's food and 90% of the time I enjoy service. But my drink was never refilled we waited 45 minutes for 2 shakes she my friend had to ask for coffee 3 times. The 1st time she asked for coffee she was given a dirty cup. And out of 3 hours I was there the waitress checked...
