My husband said we should eat here today. He said he's always wanted to try their food. Well Kudos to the staff and cook. I have been to several Mexican Resturaunts in Abilene. This little hidden Jewel impressed me. Out of all the places I have been this has the best homemade salsa in Abilene. I have always looked for the down home Mexican salsa in every Mexican Resturaunt I have visited in Abilene. They hit the nail on the head with theirs. Reminded me of my BFFs Salsa from back home when I was younger and we had cook outs. The Burrito plate was very good and rice was fluffy not dry and beans were spot on. We will be making this a regular spot to eat. Thank You for the great service . I am also picky about my sweet tea and there are now two places in this surrounding area I will...

It was the worse mexican restaurant experience we had today. What a waste time and money with highly disappointment....

So, we went here during lunch break time. Our wait staff forgot our few orders, and lack of communication. When they finally brought our orders, my husband and I were so disappointed. Lack of portions, tasteless side dish, in my opinion, it's overpriced quality.

Booth chairs feels like bounce house spring. Person who was sitting behind me was keep pounding, and my whole back was rebouncing like that big exercise ball. I notice this chair dont have middle support hardboard. What a joke....

This place main parking entrance is very confused then what Google map said. And lack of parking space.... NEVER COMING...

By far this Mexican restaurant is one of the best in town. If not, the number one place I would suggest going to if you want original Mexicana and good food regardless of who is sitting around you is very good food, Very fresh and cooked right and very delicious at a decent really affordable price for lunch. They have specials around 6.50$. You get your food super fast and ready and it is super delicious food and you always want to come back and for the price. It is not where I’m coming from. When I say it is delicious. It is one of the most delicious restaurants in town. it blows all of the other chains And all of the other independent owned mixed menu...

Nice hole in the wall kinda place. Awesome staff and service - hands down! Seems to be popular with a crowd, but a small dining area so come early. Clean, but very outdated. This place needs a makeover. The margarita was great, the chips were fresh, and the queso was okay, but everything was terribly over-salted. The cook is heavy-handed with the salt, so if that's your thing you'll like it. It's not hard to find, but it's not easy to get to either.

Abilene's first Mexican Restaurant that is still owned and operated by the Herrera family since 1936. Great food and excellent service. The Tuesday special is an AYCE that gives you a great variety. They do serve alcoholic drinks as well. The chips and hot sauce were wonderful as well. Bear in mind that this is not "Tex-Mex", but rather true Mexican family cooking.

Good food and great service with fair prices and huge portions. We got nachos to share and still had some left over! Only complaint is there are some weapons hung on the wall with nails and are most certainly a safety risk. It's great to have history displayed and cool things to informed guests with but there is no excuse for hazardous situations.
