Walking into Jersey Mike's you can smell cleanliness and a delicious smelling grill. Thus is the case with most sub shops with music coming over the speakers. Then you look down, the line was not clearly marked other then banded posts and social distance foot prints. Looking at it from a first time observers stand point it took a second to determine whether to order at the register or at the end of the bar but after identifying where to start you get the idea of this cafeteria line. Pre-packaged soft drinks and such towards the end of the bar incase fountain drinks worry you due to cup handling. Chips lining the front edge so your tempted to buy. After watching for a second my family and I began to order. However the volume of the music made it hard to convey our choices. Not receiving any prompts we slide down. A confused teen asks if we had a sub that wasn't ours but the man behind us. At this point I saw that this team was unable to keep orders well in the order they were ordered. After a little bit of waiting and more confusion among the teenger staff I finally received our orders. Leaving the store slightly irritated I got home and proceeded to eat. I was pleasantly surprised that even with the confusion my food came to me delicious and deserving of praise. My recommendation would be to try the 56 and be patient with the staff they're...
Read moreThe Abingdon branch Jersey Mike’s is the dirtiest Jersey Mike’s I’ve ever been in. Lots of standing around but no cleaning. Crumbs were all over the counter around the meat cutter, condiment and vegetable goo between the cutting board and veggie bays, a dirty rag was thrown on the back counter along with a box of plastic gloves that were open with gloves strewn on the counter. I saw a worker pick tomatoes off a sub with his bare fingers and he picked something out of the meat in the sub too (thankfully not mine). It was not busy when I was there (not that that would be an excuse to be unclean). I’ve been in there only a couple times and it’s been not clean every time. I don’t think I’ll go back to the Abingdon branch Jersey Mike’s. Management doesn’t appear to be managing anything at that location. On the plus side… I ate the food. It was good. I did...
Read moreThis place was awesome when it first opened. The last 3 times I've gotton a sub from there, the food is worse in quality each time! 3 lrg subs yesterday, $70+ . Much Less meat, the condiments tasted awful, i used to love the sweet yellow peppers, yesterday they were not sweet and tasted bitter. The lettuce was watery. It was obviously soaked in water . By the time we got the subs home the bread was soggy, everything was watery, even the wrapp8ng was soggy. So gross. Last time I was there, an employee behind the counter grabbed a piece of meat on a sub being prepped and stuffed it in his mouth. The conduct and behavior of the employees is a turn off. The subs were so disgusting I really don't want to go there again. $70 (3...
