Was visting town with some cousin's for a family event, and we chose to stop by Daryl's for some coffee and donuts. - Polite staff - Fresh hot coffee - Delicious donuts and pastries (we went in, ordered a box, sat down, then ordered some more) - Good breakfast egg sandwich - Nice old town / family vibe I asked the staff (I THINK he is Daryl's son) if they had breakfast sandwiches, and was told that they do have egg sandwiches available. I sat and pondered if I wanted to order. After five minutes, the staff just gave me the egg sandwich on the house. Very polite, and much appreciated! All around positive experience my cousins and I had during our stop at Daryl's pastries.

It’s not like Dunkin Donuts that are super airy and you feel like you’re eating nothing, these have substance. The cinnamon bun wasn’t as good as I had hoped, but I think if I air fried it for a couple minutes it would’ve been amazing. I will definitely come back for more!

So glad I was finally in the neighborhood to stop and get some donuts from Daryl’s! I got the vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon bun. The vanilla was my favorite, it was HUGE and dense. One of the first outings with my Mom after my Dad died, and we just wanted to get doughnuts to cheer ourselves up. As I ordered, I moved to point to the doughnut my Mom wanted, and was loudly reprimanded by the owner: "Stop waving your finger at me! I don't like that!" Just a real jerk for no reason at all. Really ruined what was supposed to be a pick-me-up trip, and it doesn't make sense - I was being pleasant, smiling, friendly. I really think that dude needs to get a grip -- a skill which, interestingly enough, requires fingers!

I had been warned about rudeness of the staff, but I hadn't experienced it 'till now. I guess I'll join the others on here who won't be coming back. My dude, you run a bakery. If you can't handle the "heat" of a smiling friendly person pointing to the doughnut they want, perhaps consider a different profession.

This review is 100% based on my experience with the owner. The counter people are amazing. The donuts are fantastic. The owner is incredibly rude.

I called to order a birthday cake. He asked me when did I need it. I said Sunday (it's Thursday morning). He said "I can't do that, I broke my ribs." I thought he was joking. He said, "No and was glad I found it funny." He then proceeded to hang up on me.

I've had interactions with him before in the shop and he does often joke with customers and my children so I assumed he was kidding.

So I called back assuming this was part of some joke. He proceeded to give me more grief about his broken ribs and then hung up on me again.

I'm sorry he's in pain and broke his ribs but I will sooner buy the awful donuts from Dunkin' then ever return to his establishment.
