Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Abington Township

I went to ritas today and ordered a large vanilla ice cream cone with sprinkles. The young lady kept trying to give me a vanilla ice cream without the sprinkles I had to tell her twice and she put a little bit of ice cream on the cone. I told the young lady I ordered a large. Once she gave it to me I paid and left. For some reason the color of the ice cream did not look right but I tried it any way and spit it out. It was horrible when I called them the girl who answered the phone hung up on me and I called back again and told her about the ice cream and all.she said was have a nice day. I will not be returning here I work to hard for money to give it to a bunch of teenagers who are playing with people food. Mind you I come here all the time but never again. The ice was 7 + dollars down...

Unbelievable poor customer service. We showed up with a 3 and 5 year old, asked for the smallest cup for the kids. They gave the kids big cups. Then as I looked in the window they clearly had smaller kids cups.

When I asked about they we received a rude response from both the younger girl as well as the manager. Will never visit this location again. I was dumbfounded at the lack of common sense with regards to customer service.

Update, went to the other local Ritas instead and received the perfect service. Looks like this location needs to learn something from the other locations...

This RITA'S had a filth bench sitting area. Trash, spilled ice cream made the sitting area unusable. The seating area had not been cleaned in days. The counter top service area was sticky, and the window slider was packed with sprinkles and candy pieces going back years. This used to be a clean establishment. What is going on.? The water ice is certainly expensive, but the dirty environment is the deal breaker. UPDATE 2025: Please get weed killer the front sidewalk is filled with weeds. The counter top looked a whole lot better, no packed in candy pieces/...
