T.J. Maxx — Local services in Abington Township

Checkout took forever because sales associate and manager, Ricky, were very rude and giving me a hard time about a return that had the receipt and a tag on it. It was missing the tag with the price but had another tag on it and automatically told me I couldn’t do the return. I had the receipt with all the info. Ricky went to print a ticket after I said a bunch of times that it’s on the receipt and printed he the wrong tag, one giving me more money back. So when the cashier tried to scan the receipt and tag nothing came up. This whole thing was a mess and took 15+ minutes for me to do this return after being told I couldn’t even though I had all the info. I felt like I was more knowledgeable about the policies than they were. At one point after my other return was completed Ricky comes over and looks at the receipt for no reason and say loudly, “you only gave her store credit right?” I had no problem receiving store credit and made no fuss about it....

I went here today to return some items and make some purchases. I have been coming here for years but never have I had the experience I did today. They were questioning every item I was returning, making it a drawn out process, even though they all had tags and I had a receipt AND purchased them all at that location. She was trying to say they didn't carry the items (the receipt was a month old). There was another item from another tjmaxx they would not take back because it wasn't "in their system". They were literally examining the items it was insane! The girl who was checking me out was apologetic but the other woman (who I guess was in charge) was a total b. I actually don't like going to her line for that reason. Then the manager came and was just as rude. It's a shame because they just lost a customer. Not that they seemed to care. I have been coming to this T.J. Maxx for years ever since I worked at the Target next door. I have never felt uncomfortable shopping here until my last visit. I was immediately followed upon entry by one of the employees. I always take a look at the perfume and skin products first and that is where the tall blonde haired employee entered the aisle and proceeded to watch me out the corner of her eye while sucking her teeth and slamming items on the shelf. Her and another female employee followed and watched me and my boyfriend the entire time we were in there. When we got to the register to pay the tall blonde haired employee rung us up and acted as if she didn't just follow us around the entire store. I was so disgusted I haven't been back since.
