Joe and John's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Absecon

Starting coming back here because the Italian sub it so fresh, everytime I'm there tho I'm listening to the servers complain about their day. It's doesn't concern me so I come back, last time they were frustrated because I asked to use the bathroom while waiting for my slice order. Today was the most upsetting. Ordered thru slice app 6:41 pick up time 7:02 it's usually a little longer so we came at 7:20 the guy at the counter was friendly enough handed me my pizza and said have a goodnight... I told him I was still waiting for cheese fries and garlic bread girl shouts from the side a few more minutes... Another 15 minutes for fries and garlic bread, meanwhile my two pizza are cold, my margaritas was a small so not baclsically hard as rock, and not so much as an apology because they obviously forgot the other half of my order. Everytime I go there is a sigh and a comment because I ordered thru slice... Perhaps it isn't working for them but when you walk into an EMPTY restaurant and you've still waited 55 minutes and only half your order is warm that's not oka. At the VERY LEAST an apology was due. I would have been more than happy to get refunded for the items they forgot and get home to feed my kids instead of going home with half of my food needing to...

Food overall was terrible and disgusting. I went here with my daughter and we started out with garlic bread. I like garlic and was happy to see there was a lot on the bread. However after taking a bite the garlic had a disgusting taste to it like it was old canned or bottled garlic. Next my daughter had a philly cheese steak and I had a meatball parm sub. Now my daughter liked her sandwich, which I tried, and it was ok but I've had a lot better. The meatballs in my sub weren't bad but the sub had no sauce and was dry. When I asked for sauce I was told I would have to pay extra. We also ordered the seafood pizza which is supposed to have on it sauteed baby clams and shrimp, garlic and olive oil. I asked if I could substitute bacon for the shrimp and when I got the bill they charged me for the bacon even though there was no shrimp. I thought that was cheesy to do. Last, the pizza was disgusting. The sauteed clams were from a can and it had the same foul tasting garlic as on the garlic bread. I couldn't eat it and threw it out. This place does have great food and not only that they're so very nice and what I like is that they were nice from day one and they're still very pleasant. That's how you get and keep regular customers and there were times I disliked certain meals but the next time I ordered I would just be more pacific to what I wanted and they nailed my needs 100%. Very clean, very well kept, and they listen to my needs very well. For example I ordered two pizzas and requested it extra crispy and less garlic OMG it was amazing. We all have a way of cooking and there were a few times I did not like they way something was cooked because I'm picky but they made it to my liking and nailed my request. I love this place and I'm 100% dedicated to continue my business here for as long...
