I bought a bagel, cinnamon bun, and coffee from this place. Paid almost $11 for all of this which is on the pricier side. I've been here once a few years back and had a decent experience. The bagel was not toasted or warm, and was cold and hard. It already had cream cheese inside and I had taken a bite, so I didn't feel like asking them to toast it due to hygiene reasons or remake it. I requested the cinnamon bun to be warmed because it was cold and the frosting looked solid and the man at the counter asked me "what do you want" and pointed at their microwave. This is the first bakery/bagel shop where I was asked to microwave my own food. If I had wanted to eat cold breakfast items that I had to prep myself, I'd rather go to the grocery store. On top of this, the man was rude and asked "what do you want", I'm used to people working at the counter being more polite, helpful, and personable. The coffee was decent. I microwaved the cinnamon bun for a minute and it scorched my mouth. I heated the bagel for 30 seconds so that my mouth won't be on fire and it became totally soft and the cream cheese had melted off into the plate. Totally bad experience and spoiled my mood. Won't be coming back ever again. The signs on the trash receptacle said "use both trash cans because we don't like our trash overflowing". I don't think anyone does. Be nicer to...
Read moreCame here on a Wednesday morning because I was craving an everything bagel with lox. It was my first time here and while I was born on Long Island, NY and go back regularly, there aren’t a lot of legit authentic NY style bagel/deli shops in GA. So the layout of things threw me off at first and I completely missed the big “order here” at the refrigerated display. So that was my fault for not looking.
The lady at the register was kind of confused by me and what I was doing. I was kind of confused too. Once she realized I missed the order spot and clearly wasn’t familiar with the place, she took pity and helped me out. Since no one was in line anyway, she took my order and I’m pretty sure she ran to put my bagel together herself. I waited only a couple of minutes before it was ready and I was out the door.
Coffee was really good and my bagel was excellent. I definitely need to come back for more bagels and breakfast sandwiches. I also can’t wait bring my parents and grandparents here, they will go nuts for this place since it’s so similar to the bagel shops from Long Island. Especially the fact they have NY hard rolls, something I’ve never actually found in GA until this point. I will definitely come back and likely have a smoother experience now that I know how...
