Matcha was a 10/10. However, if you are an iced chai lover though … I do not recommend. 3 stars is for the customer service and chai. Tried it twice. Back the 2nd time for the matcha. The staff seemed disinterested and unengaged to me (possibly overwhelmed. There were a few other customers inside and the card machine was reportedly down). What I did not like is how the staff opened the window and sat my drink down for me to pick up instead of putting it in my hand. It was just awkward and off-putting. I’m like, do I just grab it? As a 25 year Acworth resident/coffee snob I drove past this place 900 times and finally had the courage to go in today (it’s a clothing boutique). Acworth biz owners have tried MANY times to combine coffee with another thing (“expreso” bookshop, martini bars etc…) and all of them have sucked at coffee. Coco has a very cool vibe and makes a great coffee; it is challenging sipping an 5 buck espresso next to a gingham sweater vest rack 😂 They passed the cortado test and will be back! Maybe parking is the obstacle? I believe someone could make a 100% coffee shop profitable - every other city around us has a spot (Bizarre, lazy lab, noble and main). I’ve lived in Acworth for a couple of years now and had driven past Cafe Coco so many times without ever stopping. I’m really glad I finally did! The space is warm and inviting, with a cozy mix of coffee shop and boutique that makes it feel really special. The coffee was great, and my breakfast sandwich was fresh and flavorful. The baristas were so sweet and inviting, and it was clear they truly care about their work.
