Who doesn’t like Dairy Queen? You gotta really try to disappoint when you are providing ice cream to deliver a poor experience. And being that this is a new store/location, I had hoped for a nice lunch.
Nope. The place is already dirty. The handles to the front door were smeared and sticky. The floor was slippery as if an oily mop had been used to clean the floor (restaurants normally don’t use the same mop for the kitchen as they do for the dining room, but you can always tell when they do.). There were random water puddles all over the floor. The drink machine was dirty. The lady at the counter was okay as I don’t need a welcoming committee but she had zero personality and didn’t even say hello. The lethargic dude in the kitchen area dragged his feet and looked miserable. In fairness, the manager (I assume it was a manager or owner) must have noticed as he gave him an earful about something.
Worst of all though, I thought I would at least be served fresh and hot food at 12:30pm on a weekday. I got a 3ps chicken finger and fries. The fries were cold and limp (they were quite literally no warmer than room temperature and approaching wet noodle stage). The chicken fingers were dry, overcooked, and not unlike the fries, were cold too.
I’d like to think that my experience was unique today but from the looks of things and previous reviews,...
Read moreEdit to original review: Sherif, the head of this location, reached out to me concerning the issue I had regarding the wrong order and how it was handled. He was very kind, and I could tell he genuinely cares about each customer that come into DQ. He apologized on behalf of the restaurant and made sure to correct my previous order free of charge with an added treat for the trouble. He took this issue seriously and saved me as a customer, who otherwise would've been reluctant to return. Great job by the upper management for swiftly addressing customer complaints.
Original Complaint: The manager was very rude and had a poor temper when I informed him my order was wrong. He demanded the bite that I had already eaten to be returned as well as a sandwich with a bite taken out. Even after having the partially consumed, wrong order back he was arguing, cursing under his breath, and still reluctant to fix my original order that had been paid. Thankfully Colleen, a tall female employee, was there and noticed that the manager was ill tempered, and politely asked me what I needed and corrected my order swiftly. I'm glad that she was on shift and willing to step up when her supervisor was acting like a child. If I were the owner of this location I would promote Colleen and fire the current manager immediately before he scares off...
Read moreSo this location has moved down the street and it's a brand new Dairy Queen. I normally LOVE this location, but yesterday the drive thru young lady didn't know what she was doing. She tried handing me someone else's order and then kept asking me what I ordered. I told her and she would go work on my blizzard come back and say what was it you had "didn't you ask for a medium cookie dough blizzard?" So I explained it again....I ordered a large chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard and a medium M&M blizzard. She finally gave me the blizzards and they looked correct so I left the drive thru. When I got home I started to eat my M&M blizzard I noticed that there were huge chunks of chocolate chips and barely any M&M's. My husband was eating his chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard and he said "babe there isn't any chocolate chips in this" and that's when I said "I think they gave me all the chocolate chips" and I showed him how I had sooooo many chocolate chip CHUNKS. I have posted pictures. These were not the most tasty blizzards and is not what we ordered. We are disappointed with our service yesterday. Like I said normally this place is on point and I like this location, but the past couple of times this place hasn't been that great. You either wait forever for your order, food taste bad and they mess...
