Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Acworth

My review comes from experience at this Jimmy Johns location in Acworth, GA with a particular worker and my experience in customer service for 8 years. I always came to this location for the past few years and never had anything negative to say till now. The new girl that usually takes the orders at the register does not treat people equally. I noticed she treats people differently when she takes order. I noticed this about her before last time I went, but it was even more obvious today. I noticed how she took a man's order greeted him with a hello, was very friendly and smiled. I am next, and mind you I am a African American woman. She doesn't greet me with a hello, but just stares at me and I have to say hello and she will say, "What do you want?" The guy making my sandwich with the red hair greeted me instead of her. She definitely did not have the same personality she showed the white man before me. When I was waiting on my food, I observed how treated the white woman, and couple after me. She greeted them with a hello, and smile, politely asked what she wanted to order. It is very obvious to me this worker, treats people differently based on their looks. I've been in customer service myself for 8 years. You treat each customer the same. You never discriminate anyone at a business. I do not appreciate how she blatantly treats me different because of how I look. It really makes me feel uneasy and because of my negative recent experiences with this female worker, I do not know if I will be back at...

6/6/24 4:41pm Jake took my order. He was super awesome and he taught me some things so I can have my perfect sandwich.

Fairly new because I used to eat at the underground train place until some of the ingredient's quality scared me in all honesty.

Jake and his coworker seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. I worked in food service so to really feel that is unique. I found a new spot and how to easily order it to make it My sandwich. The Buddha 😇

I will certainly be back. I've never eaten in so I can only tell you it was relaxed and clean. I've never had a sandwich made so fast it was bewildering. It's like that was their job and they did it. Surprised there's any competition but I do like Mikey's when I hit the lotto.

My main thing is fresh lettuce. I'd rather have no lettuce than old lettuce or the like. This lettuce was fresh fresh and that can make or break your entire meal. No one wants that. I recommend Jimmy John's in Acworth Hands Down! 🫰

I kind of learned after my sandwich was made some tricks. Jake offered well enough to make over but I was happy enough. I am sure next visit you'll see 5s across the board from me.

EDIT: Idk if Jake is gone but the hodge podge of workers. Can order a SLIM#1 online but ask them and they don't have a clue even if you show them a picture from the sight. "Bread center on side you say? I'll just toss it...." "would you like it cut in half? Well surprise, you have 16" of looking like a moron when you go to eat it."

Have 5 people working and can't make a pepe or a slim. Jake and trainee pumped out sandwiches and would I like it cut in half, 1/4ths, etc. He'd do anything to make you happy.

3 visits since, fool me twice I have to start instructions like you're all children and hope you understand. It's not cheap to have ruined meals for 3 not just once.

If Jake is gone you all need him back because I don't know anymore. Offer a high position and pay because he's a professional. Other's looking for a paycheck.

Who asks you to if you want your sandwich cut and doesn't cut it after 2 other issues with nothing but pleasantries sent? Dire situation if you can't make a sandwich. Rather you take your time and do it right than go through half the motion...
