Two years ago I would’ve whole-heartedly recommended this location. Since then, they’ve slowly shrunk the portions, no longer include a side with your sandwich, and cut costs on ingredients. Lowering the quality of the experience to maintain profitability is the oldest death sentence in the service industry.

Today might be the final nail in the coffin for me. I ordered my usual sandwich and a side of curry couscous, which I have been paying extra for since they stopped including it. The container for it, which is normally filled to the top, was filled half way… and when I took a bite, it tasted rancid- like it’s been sitting unrefrigerated for too long and started fermenting. Horrible experience.

Two stars because the sandwich was still good- it used to be filled much more though.

If management doesn’t double down on quality, I don’t see this location staying open much longer. Classic restaurant death spiral: avoid increasing prices so you lower the quality to increase profitability, get customers used to your lower quality and you can’t justify a price increase. Eventually you can’t get out of it without taking on a significant loss.

UPDATE: Since Mendocino responded to this pretty quickly, I want to make it clear that I will not be emailing them. I’m not looking for discounts or free anything. If they want to document the incident they have all the relevant info in the review. The only thing I want is for the restaurants that I visit to pay at least as much attention to food quality and food safety as they do to their...

America the store Manager at Addison redeemed my belief in customer care in restaurants. I am a senior citizen who doesn’t drive and depends on great delivery and healthy food like at Mendocito Farms. America the manager and her entire team are outstanding in so many ways. The food is always beautifully crafted and America especially goes above and beyond w red carpet treatment of guests and has made me a loyal weekly ordering customer for years. I can trust her and how she runs things as Mgr. thank you Mendocito Farms for having someone of Americas expertise in resolving customer problems and also ensuring the integrity of your company. She just made my day BTW we loved chicken parm dip sandwich and turkey el verde. 10 /10. But the Butternut soup or sweet potato soup was so rich and comforting on this cold rainy day. First delivery in weeks from a restaurant that was so worth it I will never ever use ubereats for delivery ordering of Mendo website for delivery was flawless cheaper faster and no rip offs or problems like I had been paying to use Ubereats. Use MENDO website from someone who has to order delivery quite a bit bc I don’t drive. Made my weekend and didn’t realize how much less stress and money it is to use their own site for delivery. Game changer for this senior citizen who lives alone. TY America 🇺🇸 for your big help heart and ensuring lunch today....

I recently visited Mendocino Farms in Addison and ordered the quinoa salad with tofu. I was surprised to find the quinoa crunchy, which was different from what I'm used to. When I mentioned this to the staff, they immediately offered to make me another salad with softer quinoa, without any hesitation.

The new salad was absolutely delightful. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, with lettuce that was perfectly crunchy and small tomatoes that were so fresh they burst in your mouth, releasing a burst of flavor with every bite. The tofu was perfectly seasoned, adding a nice texture and taste to the salad. The avocado slices were creamy and ripe, adding a rich, buttery element to the dish. The red onions were crisp and slightly tangy, balancing out the flavors nicely. The mix of herbs brought a wonderful aroma and taste to the overall salad. The dressing was light yet flavorful, complementing the fresh ingredients perfectly without overpowering them.

Additionally, their drink choices are so refreshing. I had a green drink that tasted like celery, and it was incredibly rejuvenating.

The overall experience was amazing. The atmosphere and environment, both inside and on the patio, looked fantastic. The staff's responsiveness and the quality of the ingredients made for a memorable meal. I highly recommend Mendocino Farms for anyone looking for a fresh and delicious...

High priced sandwiches, sides, and salads of average to above average quality sums up my experience for lunch here with a friend. For $13.35, I got the Sweet Heat Crispy Thai chicken. It was sweet, there was no discernable heat, as in spice, and the air fried chicken was not the least bit crispy. There were two smallish, maybe 2 oz. each, chicken strips on a 5" bun. The chicken was nearly flavorless, as it was overwhelmed by the sweet sauce and very good pickled vegetables and slaw that topped the sandwich. The side of Beets & Faro salad was excellent. Too bad there was only about a half cup of it in the petite container it was served in. Added a single serve bag of chips and a Topo Chico for $6.05 and, with tax, had an OK tasting lunch for $21 even. Not much value there. The biggest irritant, however, was the "add tip" feature during the ordering and payment process. Being asked to tip when walking up to a counter and an employee has done nothing more than punch our order into a computer is a horrible presentation. Tip for what exactly? I have no idea if the service or food is worth the high menu prices, let alone extra for service or food quality I have not yet received. Won't be back. Nowhere close to my expectations for a $21 counter service lunch.
