This was my first time personally visiting a La La Land but I’ve had their drinks given to me multiple times before. I got the Oreo matcha drink this time around and I have to say, it was pretty good! It had a great flavor and the cream mixed in was really delicious. Definitely on the sweeter side FYI. However, the Oreo crumbles on top made it a bit difficult to drink as they kept collecting at the opening of the cup, or you’d get a mouthful of dry Oreo dust. Though the drinks have been pretty good, they’re also pricey for the size and what they are compared to other local boba tea and coffee shops. The vibe of the piece is nice, definitely aiming towards a bougie crowd though. This one had some nice spots both inside and especially outside to sit and hang out at. I went at what looked to be a busy time so there was understandably a bit of a wait. The guy at the counter was very pleasant and sweet, even helped me pick out my drink since I wasn’t sure what to get! The rest of the staff were a bit more quiet, not looking too happy. Overall it isn’t bad, and it’s way better than Starbucks if you’re looking to go to a chain...
Read moreDelightful place to have a coffee, tea, water, lemonade, or other beverage and light snacks in the Beltline & Montfort area, just east of the Dallas North Tollway. They have limited inside seating, but delightful covered outside table seating and plenty of uncovered seating. We went on a lovely sunny day and took advantage of the sunshine and light breeze. My friend had a hot tea and a delicious muffin while I enjoyed a lemonade and a butter croissant. The ham and cheese croissant was a great temptation that day, but I settled on the wonderful fresh, light & flakey croissant. We had been in the area shopping and La La Kind Cafe was a perfect “rest stop” for conversation before heading home to finish our day separately. I almost purchased one of their hats with their store motto on it: “Make America Kind Again”, which I may still get on my next visit! Check out their other items with their “Kind” motto - the are all quite delightful, IMHO! All of their staff embody their kindness motto, which definitely makes this a delightful place to stop for coffee/tea...
Read moreFirst, the drinks and food here (minus the pastries imo) are phenomenal. I go here a couple times a week and everyone I’ve suggested it to also loves it - The Perfect Latte is always everyone’s favorite. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that part of what I’ve loved about it is the staff, everyone is so friendly and personable, and I looked forward to seeing them and saying hi when I visited. The last couple weeks feel like the cafe has made a 180 turn, like it feels less laid-back and friendly and more like a franchise? Like it got taken over by “corporate” or something, if that makes sense. I don’t see any of the old baristas that I loved and not that everyone there isn’t friendly anymore, but it feels so cold and just like Starbucks or something now, where it’s less about your entire experience and more about just making your drink and getting you out the door. Again, I still highly recommend it here overall, but I’m just really sad and confused by this sudden change, and I’m not sure what’s going on exactly but I miss my...
