I wasn't going to do this, but because this has happened to me on EVERY occasion, it's time to share my experience with others.
Every single time I call in an order here and even wait an extra 10 minutes or so, I get here and it's still not ready and I end up waiting 20-30 minutes longer for my food. I figured I'd try the online ordering since you can set your pick up time for the future (allowing them plenty of time to have my order ready) but still, same thing. It's as if they forgot about my order and make it when I show up.
What is the point of ordering ahead of time if my food isn't ready? Tell me it's going to be an hour instead of 15 minutes if that's truly the time it will take for my order to be finished. Because of this happening to me all the time, I decided to boycott Friendlys but today I figured I'd give them one more chance.
Again, I placed an online order to be picked up about 40 minutes later. I end up waiting an extra 10 minutes, knowing my precious experience, and what do you think happened? Food was still not ready. While I was waiting, another lady came in and asked if they have hot dogs to which the cashier replied "yes, but just so you know it's going to be 25-30 minutes"... FOR A HOT DOG?! You've got to be kidding me!
I don't know if this location is just understaffed or just has a bunch of lazy workers, but the lack of customer service has affected me for the last time because this was my last try. They're food is great, but this issue has GOT to be Corrected. Just tell people how long it's actually going to take and there wouldn't be an issue.
Save yourself the frustration and...
Read moreCame here for a bite to eat with my family on Sat 8/9 at 8pm. As we stood waiting to be seated, a male server seemed very annoyed we were there based on his demeanor. Very unpleasant, no smile, no hello--nothing!!!! From the moment we walked in, I felt we were not welcomed perhaps since they close at 9 and it was a hassle to have more customers during the last hour of service. The food was ok--not the worst, not the best. I do feel it is expensive for the quality. Over the years, the Friendly´s franchise has definetly lowered their standards. A once booming restaurant chain is now like a ghostown on a Saturday night. My experience went downhill quickly after I witnessed an interaction between the female server and a customer. An elderly lady in a motorized wheelchair came in with another woman around the same age. The woman requested to sit in one area of the restaurant. The female server indicated ¨no--your wheelchair needs to be out of the way--we can´t have you in the way.¨ The lady in the wheelchair was very embarassed and upset and they both decided to leave. As they were leaving, the woman indicated they were going to file a report. The female server stated ¨go right ahead.¨ I have been a server for 20 plus years. I understand the public can be frustrating but c´mon! That was highly inappropriate and demeaning. Perhaps the management needs to re-structure and employ staff that can better handle public...
Read moreWell, if it weren't for the fact that the fish tasted very good I wouldn't even give this place 2 stars. I placed my order for takeout I walk in and the clerk looks like she's dressed to clean her house. I used to be a manager at Friendly's: this is so subpar. She doesn't smile, she doesn't welcome me, she just snaps, "what are you here for?" I stated I had a pick up order gave her my name she said go back out and go around to the other counter. All the signs clearly say I'm supposed to go where I was and instead of acting like she's inconveniencing me for following her signs she's acting inconvenienced that I didn't go to a different counter which signage clearly instructed not to do. She rang it up and was so obviously irritated I can't even remember if she said have a nice day. I take my food and go...I'm here from out of town to meet movers --I sat to eat outdoors at a bench. If it hadn't been for the fact that I had food service gloves that my husband gave me to take with me I would have no way to eat my food because there were no utensils and that still doesn't solve the problem of no napkins. Lousy experience lousy location. No surprise though: Even when I worked there they've never focused on customer service they only focus on better decor well a lot of good that's doing them now. I usually don't prefer to be cynical but it's apparent it won't be much longer for Friendly's if they can't make some...
