Captain D's — Restaurant in Aiken County

UPDATE: We decided to give it another try even without any incentive. We still had quite a wait in line. We got to the order box and the staff was having a difficult time with our order. So, they told us to drive up to the window. At least 20 minutes later, we reached the window. The problem was that they were having problems with the computer going down and it had not taken our order and wasn't currently up either. They had no way to take our order, relay it to the kitchen that's located right behind them and figure out the simple math of what to charge us. Instead, they kept walking in circles and no one, including the manager knew what to do. They had NO idea what to say other than there wasn't anything they could do for us. So that was it. We were out of luck. I really hate that, too. We eat out a few times a week, but I can't see us giving it another try at Captain D's. I know there are problems getting people to work right now, but at least you could train them correctly!! At this rate, either I'm the only one of their customers that are having any problems or they aren't posting. What are the odds? A business can't survive like this. Buyer beware!!

FIRST VISIT: Waited 15 minutes at the drive through speaker. Then we left to go to another restaurant. Called to report their loosing customers due to the wait at the drive through. Manager offered to take care of us personally, but we were already down the busy road and I had a bad taste in my mouth about Captain D's service. It will be a while...

I have loved Captain D's for years as a resident of Aiken. I don't think I've ever been disappointed! I've always dealt with a friendly staff. I've had delicious food wether we sat inside or went through drive thru. I've never seen the restaurant nasty .. like ever! They keep everything well maintained and clean. Look.. you might have to wait a little in drive thru BUT it's only because they're cooking your food right then! I personally would rather wait a bit for fresh hot food than be given a piece of seafood that sat under a warmer! My kiddos are very picky eaters but they love them some Captain D's! My son is just happy that he can get corn on the cob lol Seriously though... Don't listen to all the negativity. You will have exactly what you ordered and it will be cooked fresh! Even when we have done DoorDash.....

My experience at the whiskey Rd Captain D's was the worst meal ever! Everything was cold! The bacon bits and cheese for the loaded baked potato looked like something my dog barfed up. Wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese! The floor was so nasty my feet were sticking to the floor! Tables all were dirty! What really cooked my goose was that the MANAGER was forgetting to put customers fries in their order! What kind of manager can't even remember what goes on an order at the place he's suppose to be taking pride in!?!? Wow! We will never go back there! Plus they wouldn't give us a refund because my husband has thrown the receipt away already into their trash can! Someone needs to go do some real managing of that place!
