Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Aiken County

We moved here 3 years ago and have enjoyed this place, going at least monthly. However the last few visits have not went well. The service was horrible. I have always ordered shakes, usually a snickers or a strawberry shortcake. The first time I went recently I asked for the snickers shake and the employee then asked me what I wanted in it. I said the just the usual way it's made, instead of saying they didn't know how to make it they just winged it. After I paid for it and tried it I realized it was not what I ordered. I asked the employee we paid what I got and when she asked the other worker it turns out they didn't even use the right ice cream let alone the correct toppings. Also there was more milk then ice cream in the cup.They didn't offer make a new one or a refund. I go there alot and havd never had issues before so I just dealt with it. Next time I ordered a strawberry cheesecake milkshake and it was basically strawberry milk with no toppings at all. I always order a large milkshake and they usually come in a clear plastic cup with a dome plastic lid and it has Carmel or something drizzled on the inside of the cup before they add the shake. The last two times I got different size paper cups each time with no lid and whip cream piled high above the cup that melted all down the side making it sticky and messy, nothing like the usual shake and nothing like the picture on the menu. Also milk shakes are supposed to be think and creamy and the last few I got were like flavored milk. I am not picky but I do expect the workers to know how to make there own speciality menu items. Service is terrible now, workers are unfriendly and even rude, and the quality has went out the window. Sad as this was one of our favorite places in Aiken and we will not...

Today is June 1, 2023. It was my son's birthday yesterday. He wanted ice cream. I googled this establishment. I entered the place there was a young gentleman and two young ladies working behind the counter. There was a customer with two young girls in this establishment as well they had already been served eating ice cream. No one spoke or had any eye contact with me. One of the young ladies walked to the kitchen and never came out. The young gentleman and the young lady was working on a cake or cookie of some sort. They never looked at me they begin to talk with each other as if I was a ghost. After, standing for ten minutes and no one acknowledged my son and I this made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Why?? the only difference between me and everyone else in the establishment was the "COLOR OF MY SKIN". Even when it was talked among my son and I. No one still addressed the issue or looked up.They continue to acted as if we were not there. After, reading the reviews this is common practice for this establishment. I am not the first to experience this type of disrespect. And I won't be the last. I will make sure everyone knows not to patronize this establishment not just this location but all locations for this franchise. Just like ice cream comes in different flavors SO DOES THE WORLD. My wife and I, and our 2 kids went to marble slab this afternoon (2/14/2025) around 3:30pm. The ice cream was decent. I expected better, but coupled with the occasion it really hit the spot. However, we were definitely disappointed by the staff. 2 staff members in particular. The first employee that offered to help us was colder than the ice cream itself.. no personality and was CLEARLY irritated that our 5 yr old wasnt sure which green ice cream he wanted..mint or pistachio. She offered samples, to which we accepted. Still no smile, or any relief from the high level of stress she was putting us under to order. She then passed the task of taking our order to another employee who was kind and friendly, but not thorough in the slightest.. sprinkles and toppings not mixed in, just scooped on top. I specifically asked for covers because we wanted them to go.. but once the orders were made he said "crap yall wanted covers right"? At this point i wasnt about to ask any more of them. We took our ice cream and ate it on the patio. Like i said, the yellow marshmallow ice cream was decent.. Wife's raspberry was good. Sons mint ice cream was decent.. we were disappointed that's for sure. After talking about going to marble slab for 3 years, it was not at all what we had...
