I've been meaning to try this place since I moved to the area since I moved to the area, but somehow never had the time until today. I will start off by pointing out that this is a home-cooked style restaurant, do not expect food to come immediately from the kichen from pre-mixed vats. If you order something like their Chicken and Dumplings, expect the kitchen to take a bit, especially if you go during a major event like The Masters. The staff were quick to acknowledge guests however, were attentive, and repeatedly apologized for any delays in service. At one point the cook even came out to check on the diners and acknowledged that it was my first time visiting and thanked me for coming out to try them.

The food was very filling, I almost couldn't finish my meal of Chicken and Dumplings. The menu was a bit smaller than I expected, but after tasting the food I can understand why, better to have a few dishes you do well rather than many mediocre ones.

All-in-all I highly recommend this as a lunch spot for people who might be visiting the area or to bring out-of-town guests...

Been a resident of the NA area for about 4 years now. Wife and I are always looking for new places that aren’t chains/corporate owned. My wife saw McNeelys Place on FB and suggested we try it sometime this week. We went on Thursday for lunch. Wife had hamburger steak, collards and squash casserole. I had fried pork tenderloin, mac & cheese and a side salad. Both of us tried the famous pineapple bread. FANTASTIC 1,000/10. Taste just like a warm hug from grandma and the environment was so cozy and charming. The server was top notch. She was warm, funny and engaging and very attentive. She convinced us to try some dessert which we both LOVED. I had the banana pudding and she had the caramel layer cake. Fantastic!!!!!!!! This place will now be our comfort spot for any special occasion or any non-special occasion because we don’t need any excuse to come back. So grateful we found this beautiful place. Hope this stays a hidden gem so we always have this spot. Thank you to the staff for a...

I recently dined at McNeely’s Place and was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor is charming and cozy, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal.

The food is simply outstanding! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and made with love. You can truly taste the difference that fresh, high-quality ingredients make. My personal favorite was the meatloaf and squash casserole, pure comfort food at its finest.

What really sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every guest feels like family. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect.

If you're looking for a place that offers amazing homestyle cooking, a cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service, McNeely’s is the spot. I can't recommend it highly enough. I’ll definitely...

I am glad the area of North Augusta has continued the use of this old home for a restaurant. I absolutely love the Southern Charm feel of this place. You walk up to the big front porch, which has seating. Greeted by friendly staff once you open the door. The daily specials make the menu easy to navigate. I ordered the pork chop with squash casserole and stewed cabbage. Oh my goodness, it was all delicious!!! My husband had the Mac and cheese with mashed potatoes and gravy. Of course I had to taste his sides. The food was perfectly flavored. For dessert we had banana pudding and the lemon bar. Both were delicious. Let’s just say we didn’t need any to go boxes. I had heard good things about this place. I am glad we finally had the chance to try for ourselves. We will be back!!!

Great customer service, and very welcoming (Dustin my waiter)was great. The food looked great, the chicken and dressing was good. Very little dressing but still good. The Togo club sandwiches were good, but the sides were not good at all. Very bland every side greens, cornbread casserole, sweet potato patties. Even the sliced tomatoes I ordered were over ripe, and the fruit salad tasted as if it were soaked in water. The corn muffin I literally had to spit in my napkin. I told the waiter about the sides, and he apologized, and I even asked if he passed the info along to ppl in charge and he said yes. They did nothing did nothing to make it right. I messaged them in private, and no reply, yet they’re replying to others on the Fb and posting new post.

The food was absolutely delicious!!! A great welcome to the South Cuisine. Every morsel was flavorful and seasoned just right. Our waitress Amanda was a sweet Southern Belle. We were greeted with a burst of energy and seated quickly by the front end manager, I felt soooo welcomed. I've seen this place a fee times but it was brought to the forefront by their amazing social media presence. Did I mention how delicious the fresh collards greens, fried flounder, savory green beens and oooooh my gosh the mash potatoes and gravy were so darn good. We love locally owned small businesses and will make this a normal family stop. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I left full physically and mentally. Update- we've been back a few more times!
