Woody’s Smokehouse — Restaurant in Airport Drive

Poor customer care. I was charged for my order, but their system showed that I hadn't paid. I showed them my banking app to prove the charge had gone through on my end, and even then they only offered to charge me AGAIN, which I refused because I wasn't going to risk being charged TWICE for the same order! I was told I was welcome to come back in a FEW DAYS and if my bank had not refunded me, THEN they would offer me a refund. On top of this, my food had already been prepared and was sitting there waiting for me to take it, I refused to pay twice and I can only imagine they had to have tossed my entire order as a result. They chose to throw away perfectly good food instead of letting me have it, even though they could plainly see from my banking app that I had indeed been charged for the order. They wasted food and lost a customer, which is sad because it was my first time there. They could have made a customer for life, instead I left disappointed and hungry. They handled the situation poorly, and that's just very bad...

Hi my name is Brayce. I worked here for just around 3 years and to be honest… this place rocks. I learned a lot of lessons about myself and about others and generally got a good sense of the workforce from this business (It was my first job during highschool and some time beyond) and it was generally an overall great experience. The food was always killer, always freshly smoked and cut right in front of the customer even all of the sides are made in house. Typically my favorite choice was either the loaded nacho or a turkey sandwich, you can never go wrong with either of those. All of the managers were awesome, had outstanding personalities, and great character. The owners were also always a joy to talk too. All of the upkeep was always maintained (clean bathrooms, clean tables, wonderful smell etc.) Even though I don’t work there anymore, they made a life long customer and my day is always made whenever I eat there. (Great bbq. Chicken falls of the bone. Brisket that melts in your mouth. Keeps me coming back.) That's what I said about Woody's years ago. Went today, July 22nd 2021, to find out the chicken doesn't fall off the bone anymore because they don't serve it anymore. I have eaten here since it opened very often. It has always been very good consistent food. However, something changed today and it wasn't just a revision of the menu. It was the overall quality of all the food. I don't know what's up with it but I don't like it. When you're doing something right why change it? Is thanks for 15 years an epitaph? I doubt you will see me much if ever again. It's always been kind of pricey, but it was good. Today I got a blob of meat, runny beans and a tea for $13. Sorry. Just not diggin' it anymore. And by the way, your breakfast burrito has never been a burrito it's a large tortilla folded in half. That's called a taco....
