My husband and I took our family to Hungry Howies after leaving the fair last night. We called the store at 9:29p to place our order, we arrived at 9:47p. My husband and son went inside to get the pizza and sit down while I got our infant son situated and out of the car. Before my husband left the store they turned the lights off on him at 9:51p. The sign on the door and an employee(when we called to ask) said they close at 10p so why was my husband and son forced to walk in the dark to get outside? He told me the person inside said they were closed. At 9:53p? Seriously? I had to put our infant son back into his seat and put his stroller back in the car. This is ridiculous and terrible customer service. We arrived at home and finished the pizza within 5 min, it wasn’t like we planned on sitting there for 15-20 min and if we did that shouldn’t have been a problem. The establishment I work at now welcomes customers inside all the way up until we’re closed. The customer is allowed to sit and eat in peace past closing time. I see why this location has 2 stars. Not to mention we asked for light sauce and received the regular amount. My husband isn’t to fond of red sauce, the ticket said light sauce yet somehow we didn’t get it. Also, I asked for a mixture of butter cheese and garlic herb crust. We got garlic herb and butter crust, so basically we received butter garlic crust. Not to mention my best friend and her husband went to eat lunch Wednesday around 11a and there was a sign that read “out of cheese until 1:45p” she’s 8 months pregnant and has trouble getting out and about so for her to come up there just to be turned around or wait 2+ hours is ridiculous as well. Feel free to contact me just to hear me repeat all this information to you again. We don’t want anything for free I just figured someone should know about the lack of service and incompetence of doing a truck order. It’s sad y’all don’t have another location to borrow the cheese from and even sadder that y’all didn’t go to the Walmart right in front of y’all to get cheese OR send the driver to Sam’s...
Read moreWe really wanted love this location because it is so convenient to our home. We have tried it several times. Initially first few visits the pizza was good and we enjoyed it. Last 2 visits have been a disaster. Picked up takeout on Valentine's day and got the heart shaped pizza for my son and deep dish for us. Dough was raw in the middle - pizza was not cooked. My husband had to return it and have it remade. No apology, partial refund, or any restitution for his trouble when he had to make a trip back up there on a weeknight with children waiting. Last night was the final straw. Placed order for 2 large pizzas by phone. 1 thin crust, 1 specialty deep dish. Requested they be ready at 6 pm. It was 5:25. Got there and my order was ready but they had charged me incorrectly, made me 3 pizzas instead of 2, and total was $15 more than it was supposed to be. Manager (?) tried to change it and I stood and waited for a very very long time while a long line formed behind me. Meanwhile I was late for the event I had to attend at 6:30. But I was still overcharged by $2 and still had an incorrect order. They were going to remake it but I could not wait when I was already late. Again no restitution for the mistake and for the major delay it caused me. I shouldn't have even had to pay for the full order, and on top of that, pay more than what I was supposed to. We won't be back for awhile, if ever....
Read moreAbsolute awful policy. I didn't know they closed at 9pm. I placed an online order and it accepted it. I get a phone call 5 minutes later stating they would have to cancel my order because they have to be out of the building by 9 or they get in trouble. That is ridiculous. I was about 2 minutes away from the building when they called. So, not only did I place an order the online accepted, I paid, I was on the way, they cancel, and now I won't have access to my money for 2 to 3 days I order from this place all the time. That is changing now. If you can't fulfill an order, don't allow people to place the order, and don't take their money. If you're punishing employees for fulfilling an order you allowed to be placed, that's even more ridiculous. Great pizza, awful policies. Update: this isn't about safety. That is a lame excuse. I would have been there before you were closed. Safety was never mentioned. The employee was scared of getting too many hours. If it was about safety, they wouldn't have still been in the building 15 minutes later. I didn't know, you having all my information, me following all of your instructions, me arriving before you closed, makes it a safety issue. This was a you failed at customer service and haven't even attempted to make it right. The proper response would be, make the order, and turn your app off in a...
