Natasha Cornelius the general manager unfortunately discriminates African Americans including specific workers that work for her. I had applied at this location and got hired with an understanding that I would work 2nd shift with a $13 pay rate. She informed me she would text me to send my documents , I did not hear back from her for a week. When I called the location an employee had informed me she does not work at the location that I literally got interviewed from by her. That was the first red flag. Of course I was confused, I called back the next day because that was so weird to me guess who picks up, Natasha. I said “Hi, I have not heard back, did you still need me”? She says “Yes then changes my schedule to 1st shift and scheduled for me to come in the following week after I send my documents. I did that same day and I notice she changed my pay as well in emails and asked why. She said after a month it’ll change. That was the 2nd red flag. Another week went by and I text her saying I had never experienced a job hiring me then waiting so long to have me start. She then lied to me saying she was going to text me and claims she just got my background check not knowing I had already got the confirmation of her receiving it the day I did it which was now 2 weeks ago. She told me to come in the following day and changed my schedule again back to 2nd shift. I come in and she basically tells me to leave , which I question and she looked choked up like she didn’t have an answer for me. Being who I am I left because if your not wanted why stay? I also notice how she was talking to some of her African American staff which I can tell she can be very disrespectful. She’s says come back Monday and I said I’ll let her know then walks out because at this point you have wasted my time and gas. I texted her saying we’ll have to go back to me working 1st shift because by then I already had another job lined up because of how long it took me to start. She says that she’s moving on with someone else without any explanation. Read moreThis is a review of the service and professionalism at this location, not of the products. When I went inside (Friday afternoon, 4/29), I was the only customer in the place. A cashier for the whole mart, who doesn't make coffee drinks, took my order and seemed quite thorough and polite. However, no barista was around, though he told me they'd get right to it (perhaps a shift change was occurring). I sat at the seat closest to the register to wait.
Then, two other customers entered and took 5-6 minutes to place their orders and pay, as they hadn't been to a White Bison before. Meanwhile, a barista came out from the back and stood next to the cashier while they ordered and then finally walked away to make drinks (I assumed mine). She made a smoothie and delivered it to them, and then made their coffee drink which was almost the same as mine but not close enough for me to say "oh I think that one's mine". So I asked the cashier when my drink would be made. He replied "what'd you have?". By that point I was fed up with the wait and lax attitudes of the staff, so I left without my $5 coffee.
Before jumping straight to a bad review (because I know people have off nights) I even called the store after cooling off a bit to try to speak with a manager so they could make this right. The person who answered was polite, but when they handed me over to the assistant manager, his only word to me was "hey." I said "yes, I'm waiting to speak with a manager". He replied "yeah that's me I'm the assistant manager tonight, hey".
I found his diction and tone so unprofessional that I got off the phone without reporting my issue. So, here I am writing the review I did not want to write. Read moreI really wish that I could put zero stars. For the second time I have arrived at this White Bison and no one is running the drive thru. I pulled into the parking lot and let my daughter go inside thinking someone will be running the store. She waits 15 minutes before anyone takes her order. The person taking her order then starts walking outside instead of making the drink. At this point (twenty minutes of waiting with no other customers) we are going to be late so I request a refund because we do not have time to wait for her to find the barista. The employee states that she does not know how to make a refund and continues to go outside to find her coworker who is in her car. We left without the refund, this store should not claim to be 24/7.
