My wife picked up food from here and drove 15 mins back to our house because we've ate here before and loved it. The experience I had today has made me NEVER want to come back. The general tso chicken smelled and tasted like PLASTIC. So much so that when I begrudgingly ate a piece it coated the inside of my mouth with the taste. So I got in my truck, went the 15 min drive back to the restaurant and spoke with the gentleman at the counter. He says ok we'll have another out in a min. This time I requested a Styrofoam container because I figured that the container was the problem. After waiting a few moments a little Chinese lady comes out and asks me what was wrong. Confused I look at the man I spoke with before and asked if I needed to explain the situation again and he said I guess she wants to hear it from you. I explained the food tasted and smells like plastic and requested the same as above. She proceeds to go to the back and within a few moments remakes my order to no avail it still smelled like plastic. I tried to explain that I wanted to get something else because it seemed like the entire batch was bad and she proceeds to say, "no its good." And walked away from me while I was trying to explain the above request. I got a refund. Tip for the restaurant, when a customer is speaking. listen and don't discount what they are saying. Also get someone who can convey messages better because the language barrier was clearly there and it was frustrating for both of us because of lack of...
Read moreFirst time eating at this location, and was a bit disappointed. The General Tso's chicken was okay, but not as good as other places. The Honey chicken was similar, but more like sweet and sour chicken. I asked about the cream cheese-filled wontons as a dessert and was pointed to the crab rangoon. Uncertain, I asked if they had crab and was told they didn't...but there was distinctly some type of seafood (imitation crab?) in them. The hot and sour soup wasn't that good, but adding a bit of rice vinegar, pepper flakes, and soy sauce helped it greatly. Two complaints about the soup though...there were some strips that I think may have been bamboo strips that were so hard they couldn't/shouldn't really be eaten...and the second was in the soup (or the fried wonton strips added to the soup) I found a piece of metal that appears to be about a 1+ inch strip that maybe came from a can opened by a can opener. Thankfully I detected it immediately and didn't actually swallow it. While I realize accidents can happen, something like that could have been extremely dangerous to have swallowed. I don't think we'll...
Read moreThe food was terrible. As soon as we walked in we noticed there was hardly any food , just scraps, on the buffet. My wife ordered food and the girl at the front desk told her $32, when I said thats expensive it doesent add up she quickly said its $24. The lady said if you order buffet I will tell them to put out food tell me what you want. We took one bite of the food and immediately spit it out. The Mongolian beef tasted like another animal it surely wasn't beef.
The manager was rude and told us not to come back , not that we ever would, after saying were weren't please and wanted a refund. She said no several times but gave us back $12 even though we didn't eat anything and said since they cooked food to put out, that wasn't out but should have been for buffet ,that they couldn't loose money and made us pay for lack of food service and quality. Stay away from this pig pen its located right behind Madison hospital next to Lawler's.
