Panda Express — Restaurant in Alabaster

Today, August 7, 2022. I ordered 2 half fried, black pepper chicken and the black angus steak which I had to pay $1.60 more for. Also, I ordered the spring rolls and they were cold. My 2 orders of cheese Rangoon wasn’t just cold but hard and very crispy like it had been sitting out for a while. I’m very disappointed with my order. Also, the black pepper steak I paid extra for was only 3 or 4 piece’s of meat the rest were vegetables. that’s it. They added so many mushrooms and a dark green vegetable to it that makes it seem like you have steak but you don’t. I took pictures so you can see exactly what I receive. However, I didn’t realize it until I started looking for my meat otherwise I would have ask for a refund just like asked for cheese Rangoon. Plus, I called and talk to the young lady there and told her to put light soy sauce in my fried rice because I didn’t want it white but as you can see from my pictures she didn’t do it. I will not be ordering from them again. Celebrating Birthday was very disappointing with Panda Express. However, I would like to say that I did call but the manager wasn’t there and I talked to Blessing ( young lady) she offered to give me another order but I stated no thanks and she was sorry. My husband stopped here the other night because our power was out (wind storm) and bought $50+ worth of food. They placed it all in a box and when he came home, the bottom fell out and it landed on the sidewalk. I have to say, they get 5 stars for replacing the entire meal without any issues. I do have some complaints about the food, however. There were three different main course dishes. Shrimp, beef and chicken. The chicken dish had such a weird smell, I couldn't bare to eat it. The beef was "ok" and the shrimp was delicious. The rice, both the white and the fried, may as well have been raw. Also, I get that the cost of ingredients have gone up but the meat was so sparingly in these meals, it was a shame. Also, there were so many red peppers (the sweet ones) in each dish, just to make up for the lack of meat, I think. And why add a few mini stalks of broccoli if you're going to add so few?? The chicken smell stayed in the house all night and the next day. It was gross. I did enjoy the shrimp though. And, the customer service...

Several months back, I wrote a review on the Panda Express in Hoover. I wrote how disappointed we were over the service we received. Our food cartons turned upside down and side ways and the juices from the cartons were in our bag. We communicated were were eating in. AND why we chose the Hoover location. Since we were in the Alabaster today, we gave Panda Express in Alabaster another try. I really don't know what we were thinking! (Maybe Alabaster cleaned the dining room and fountain area, etc.) Surprisingly, the Dining room had a messy table and floor at that table which was attended to. We were greeted in a friendly and courteous manner. Our order was taken. The steamed rice was dry and cold. Three of our 5 entrees, we got an extra side, were partially warm to almost cold. I informed the employee who took our order and she apologized. Not her fault!
