Hang Ten Boiler Alameda — Restaurant in Alameda

We arrived at Hang Ten thirty minutes before closing on a Sunday night... The waitress was definitely going to spit in our food...

There were still a lot of people inside and another large party walked in a minute after! We were immediately seated and the waitress hurriedly came by multiple times to ask us what we wanted within the first couple of minutes. We decided to share a pound of shrimp (because they don't do half pounds) with H10 sauce and the H10 fries. I'm sure this place is compared to Boiling Crab occasionally but I feel that they are completely different in taste. The H10 sauce is super thick and creamy and buttery with a bit of a tang. The Steph Curry was also very buttery and creamy and has a slight sweetness to the curry. The H10 fries were super bomb!!! The fries itself were crispy like a cracker and worked really well with the chipotle mayo, minced meat and all the delicious ingredients on top! And lastly, I was able to try the garlic noodles and they were delicious!!!

I felt bad for coming in right before closing but I'm glad I was able to try the food even if they spit in it!!!...

I'll start by saying the food is great and very tasty. I usually get the shrimp Cajun spicy with a side of garlic noodles, my husband gets the kalbi short ribs with rice and Mac salad. The price is on the high end as we end up paying around $60 to $70 for a meal for two, granted we get different things, but that's basically around $30/$35 per person. Also, the price for adding corn is excessive considering it is a corn piece and not a whole corn. Because of the prices we limit ourselves to how often we eat here. The service is not always the same, it can be hit or miss. We have tried to place take-out orders over the phone with at least 40 mins left before closing and we were told they were no longer taking take-out orders over the phone, but we could come in and place our order in person. Logistically and time wise that makes no sense and defeats the point of placing the order in advance. They have also messed up our take-out order in the past, but the person who helped us was apologetic and accommodating to make up for it which we greatly...

Nice open restaurant with plenty of free parking , came in on a Friday just before the rush hour began . To start ordered the garlic noodles, some shrimp , and Dungeness crab, the seafood was cooked in the steph curry sauce. This sauce reminds me of one of my favorite Cajun seafood restaurants, it has a little spicy and sweet taste to it . The food came out just perfect, and by the way if you order the crab it does come with rice stuffed in the crab shell . Only a few things to work on, is they constantly kept asking if we were good . They should have set people who are assigned to each table , and make sure to ask customers maybe every 10 mins not every 1-2 mins. Next is the restroom they need like a purifier in there, kinda smells like the sewer . Maybe it's the plumbing or something but no spray can help with the smell . Other than that it's a happening kinda place, that serves...
