This place has such high ratings likely because the town is trying to save one of the few restaurants in town. In fairness we didn’t eat, the service and experience in the first 10 minutes had us walk out.
Door locked at 1:30pm. Consistent with other reviews, service was unprofessional, table not clean, staff speaking as if we’re buddies. Other table sat down after us, got menus before us. The server finally comes to get drink order, ordered ice tea, then got the menu. Menu is plain, only a couple of decent looking Mexican items, and wasn’t willing to try the watery gravy due to the other reviews. Told the other server (our guys wasn’t to be found) to cancel the teas and and we’re going elsewhere. Original server chased us outside to complain that he started making the drinks and that it was @$&*ed up that we were leaving. Highly unprofessional and now I know to read the reviews prior. 4.5 stars must be from those that don’t know good Southern Colorado service and cuisine.

Read moreDo not recommend. Really, really wonderful wait staff do I feel bad leaving a bad review , but I dont understand how this place had such good ratings. Food was incredibly bland. I got the impression it was a tex/mex place and there weren't great options on the menu. My husband said his burger tasted like white castle burger with cheese. I am not familar with that but it tasted like a plain fast food burger, no seasoning, nothing special. The chicken on my chicken burrito wasn't seasoned at all. Reminded me of chicken in a can and the onions they add did nothing. The green chilie just seemed like rotel dumped out of a can.The chips and salsa they bring out didn't have warmed up chips like most resturants, which I know is being critical but I feel like you could heat them up a bit. Very disappointed based on reviews. Place is in definate need of an upgrade chair and table wise, which could be forgiven if the food was good, but this was really, really bad. Again, nice customer service but...
Read moreI walk in on the Monday after tge 4th of July around 12:20 pm. The place is plain jane with painted cement floors and wabbly tables. There was no host. So I waited for 5 min until a young man appears and passes by carrying food saying "what's up man". I should have turned around right there and walked. He passed by again and said is this to go or stay. I said, well let me see the menu. A plain 1 page paper menu with a few items. I was craving a smothered burrito and the photos on the website looked good. So I ordered a smothered burrito and cheese enchilada thinking that to go should be faster than sit down. Right? Wrong! I waited 1/2 an hour listening to everyones conversations pretending that I was busy. I'm from Pueblo, live in Denver and have eaten Mexican food all my life from Colorado to Texas and California. The green chile on the burrito was watery. So much so that it spilled into the plastic bag and created a mess in my car. The enchilada was nothing to write home about. Very...
