I had an order for delivery, due to my family only having 1 car and my husband works swing shift, I was extremely sick and didn't want to do pizza. First the lady on phone kept repeating and asking for me to clarify all my information and order which is fine since I wanted to make sure it was delivered correctly. They get to my house in a reasonable time but as soon as I started pulling out the order I noticed one item was completely missing. I called them right away and they said oh, this item didn't get put on the order. How can this be with as many times as I repeated my order? Well it didn't get rung up, yet with the amount of the bill it should have been with this meal. She said well to put this order in it would be another 30 minute wait for delivery. I told her no never mind because it was the one item I knew my sons would eat and by then all the other food would be cold. So I thought no we will just make due. Then we start eating the food. The appetizers were okay, nothing too great but not burnt which is always a good. But then the main course meals, they were disgusting. I have actually never had such bad Asian food. I will not be returning. The chicken tasted like some other animal was used. Everything tasted bad, I thought well maybe its because I am sick and its messing with my taste. Nope my sons and my mother thought the same thing I did. My husband said once he had some fried rice from them awhile back and it wasn't real good, then said several other coworkers had said the same thing about their food, he then said he wonders how they have stayed in business with such...
Read moreFriendly and hard working staff. Had the duck noodle soup- I added the restaurants chile pepper paste and really enjoyed this soup. The soup portion was huge and the chile paste in the broth got better and hotter the next day. The soup is filled with bok choy- tender duck- carrots and noodle. It was a very kid friendly plate. My son had the pu pu platter with fried chicken, egg roles, dumplings, pork, and steamed dumplings. You can request for steamed dumplings we did- and got them. Overall, I'm glad to support local business, this business hires local teens, aspiring cooks, and appeals to the local community. I always see this place with people in it. Pho siagon and kenny's kitchen are probably the best 2 locally owned business to eat at in tikatnu commons. There's a ton of chain restaurants that have pre frozen food, understaffed and overworked service workers, and take from small locally owned restaurants in tikatnu commons. If you want to help locally economy, young aspiring chefs, and talented career chefs willing to mentor youth, then go there and order the roasted duck or duck noodle soup. My mom in law had the sweet and sour soup and really...
Read moreMaybe I just ordered the wrong items... but I cannot fathom ANYONE thinking this food is delicious- unless they've lived here their whole lives or they've been eating at the Dfac. We're not even picky people. We've tried a bunch of Chinese takeout from 5 different states.. and most are not good. But fine to eat in a pinch and at least they're cheap. When you're only paying $8-10 a plate, bad food isn't that disappointing. $20 plates are a whole other thing. $60 down the drain (for 2 meals 1 app+tip) The staff was great, the food was quick, and it was fresh/hot and its a big portion for sure! We ordered chicken wings (which are normally great at chinese takeout places) chicken yakisoba, and Mongolian beef/ fried rice. It's ALL bland and just not tasty. The Mongolian beef is okay... but lacking flavor. the yakisoba is TERRIBLE ! and tastes like burnt soy sauce and oil. And it's covered in that "sauce". The chicken wings are bland and covered thick with the breading. It's very rare for us to not eat the food... we'll normally eat it even if it's disappointing. I really wanted to...
