Leroy's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Alaska

Just ate here and the server and owner were very rude. My soup came out cold, my sandwich was not good the “swiss” cheese was very fake and artificial tasting and made me feel sick. None of the items were refunded. I told the server I wish I knew I’d be paying for my meal so I could of boxed it up and gave it to my husband and or son. The server proceeded to raise her voice and said the owner told her not to. Then made comments about how there are homless people who need food and I could of gave it to them and 20$ is chump change. I proceeded to calmly reply I would never feed a homless person food I touched and ate off of and that I actively use my money and time to help others. I also stated 20$ isn’t chump change to everyone and I never go out and do things because I’m a mother of 3 and use what little money I have to help others in need versus myself. At the end of the conversation I was still denied a refund because “there’s nothing wrong with their cheese.” I very calmly stated I understand that however a business should be ran on making the costumer happy especially when food doesn’t taste right and that’s the service they are paying for I also stated I was only upset that there was no transparency and I would of preferred to be told versus it being a surprise. The server continued to raise her voice and attack me and be little me. Even after this interaction I still left her a tip because I used to be a server and never want to fault the server for bad food. I will be making a formal complaint up the chain to get a refund and or to hold this establishment liable for this gross and rude interaction. It was very uncalled for and left me...

Leroy's has always been a favorite of mine. However since the new management took over the food has downhill. Undercooked meat, undercooked eggs, ham is cold and the biscuits and gravy look and taste like they microwaved it after it was frozen. The waitresses are over worked and miss tables. I waited 20 minutes to have my order taken and it took almost another 30 to get the food. My farmers skillet was undercooked, I didn't get the side of hash browns I ordered, but I was charged for them. My orange juice was warm and my friend I was dining with had ordered 3 Scrambled eggs and 2 sausage links. His eggs were undercooked, runny, and the sausage was still cold on the insides. I saw the owners with their family in the far corner and waitresses were giving them all the service, doing their best yet I still saw an Asian man and older woman snapping for coffee refills and water.

When you own a business you should put other paying customers first.

To the waitresses at Leroys, keep up the great work. Your customer service and attempts to keep a brave face is why I used to come back.

After 4 TERRIBLE experiences in a row, I give up. Kavas and kriners diner are my new go tos.

I have been going to leroys as long as I can remember with my grandmother. Since my grandmother passed away just last November I wanted to go in remembrance of her. Well as soon as I walked in i was not greeted but only asked if i was eating breakfast or warming up? Although I thought was rude in the restaurant customer service business I still politely answered I was eating breakfast, only to then get refused service because I didnt look like I didnt have much money then wrongfully accused of being a alcoholic whom got kicked out before. I quit drinking in 2012 and like I said I've only come to leroys with my grandmother and in my native culture its disrespectful to be in a elders presence intoxicated. I then had to show my money before hand to even get considered to get served. Still doing everything the waitress had asked on top of publicly humiliated me she still had the nerve to keep bad mouthing me to other customers as if I wasn't able to hear her but clearly can. This waitress belittled me degraded me and acted as if she was better than me because I was someone that didnt look like I had enough money to pay for my meal and leave a tip for her. This was by far the worst experience I had with leroys and it wasn't right of how this waitress misjudged me thinking I was somebody...
