A Hidden Gem for Indian Food Lovers in Anchorage!
We visited Bombay Deluxe during a recent trip to Anchorage, and it was easily one of the culinary highlights of our stay. The food was flavorful, comforting, and felt wonderfully homestyle without being overly rich or heavy—something that’s hard to find in restaurant Indian food.
The Dal Tadka deserves a special mention—it was hands down one of the best we’ve had. Perfectly spiced, medium heat (just like we make at home), and packed with flavor. We enjoyed it so much we ordered it again. The Tandoori Roti was soft, slightly buttery, and paired beautifully with the dals and curries. We also loved the Kulcha, which was egg-free—great for those with allergies or dietary preferences.
The Veg Kofta was slightly on the tomatoey side but still very tasty. The Palak Paneer was well-prepared with a smooth, lightly spiced spinach base and tender paneer—comforting and easy to enjoy without feeling heavy. The Paneer Pakoramade for a perfect snack—crispy and satisfying.
Service was excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive. A special shout-out to our server, who was incredibly respectful and helpful. The restaurant wasn’t crowded when we visited, and our meals came out quickly. The bathroom is tucked away through a bit of a maze, but it was clean and well-maintained.
We ended up eating here several times (including takeout) over our trip. We ate here for about five meals—and honestly wish we had found this place earlier. Highly recommended, especially for vegetarians. A large portion of the menu is veg-friendly and everything we...

Establishment: needs major improvement. The restaurant feels dated, disorganized and needs better climate control. We were roasting today as the restaurant was hot. I'd say this is my main reason for points deduction. When I went to utilize the restroom you have to watch yourself as the floor is slippery and you have to walk past storage racks and other restaurant equipment. This location is not the beat rwprestation of this quality of food and customer service.
Customer service: excellent! our server was friendly knew the menu very well and was quick to relocate us from our table by the window and radiant heater as we were uncomfortably hot. He quickly opened the door to let some cool air I'm and without hesitation accommodated our request.
Food: DELICIOUS!! I was amazed by the Sampler appetizer. The Vegetable Samosa is heavy, dense, and packed with flavor. Definitely limit yourself to just one! Hahaha. The Vegetable Pakora was tasty, crispy, and perfectly fried. The Chicken Pakoras was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy, cooked to perfection. We then ordered the bread basket which we could not out down.. wow!
We then ordered the Lamb Cirry and the Kadai Chicken. We couldn't be more satisfied. The lamb was tender, good amount of meat and sauce, and delicious. The chicken too had amazing flavor.
The desserts left a lot to desire and...

The garlic Naan was soft and fluffy, a perfect complement to the meal.
